Castro in for the US in the top of the 5th.  Throws out the speedy Luis Durango trying to steal 3B.

And CASTRO WITH A 3-RUN JACK to right field to put the USA up 5-3.  AWESOME!

Lo on to pitch in the bottom of the 6th.  Induces a grounder for out #1.

how in the world did I miss this thread

Started 3 weeks ago and had to go back a page (and in fairness, you were about 15 seconds behind.....).

Lo get a fly ball to center for out #2, but the third baseman pulls a Tejada (sails the throw to 1B) to allow the 3rd batter to get to 2B on a 2B error (decent throw would/ve easily gotten him).

Walks the next batter (Vitters) on 4 pitches.  A steal of 3B on the 2-0 count now gives the US runners at the corners with 2 outs.  (If there is a run in this inning, it will be unearned).

Lo's command has disappeared a bit, loading the bases on a 4-pitch walk Chris Carter.

Lo gets out of trouble with a swinging strikeout of Scott Sizemore on a 2-2 heater.

Lo went a little Rick Vaughn after that error, but had pretty solid command against the last batter and pre-error.   I had heard about a lot of his secondary pitches, but as Sutcliffe mentioned Lo mainly threw the fastball the whole inning out there
Reading Richard Justice and respect level for Richard Justice are inversely related

Except for one wicked breaking pitch that bounced off the catcher's chest protector. Did Sutcliffe not notice that?

Lo gets the 'W', but the MVP (which would presumably gone to Castro had the USA won) goes to Rene Tosoni on the World team.

Ozzie on Jason Castro (via Pinwheel Twitter):

U.S. manager Ozzie Smith paid Jason Castro's arm the ultimate compliment, saying, "Vince (Coleman) would have a hard time stealing on him"

I tried watching this game on ESPN and even though the channel guide said it was the 2009 Future's Game it was actually last year's. Anyone else have this problem?

This year's game went through a 4-hour rain delay. They aired last year's game to fill the time.

Probably Wade's best move to date was bringing in Heck.
