Berkman's tale of two halves
« on: September 29, 2008, 09:20:07 am »
In 2008, Lance Berkman had a monster first half and a not-so-good second half. Last year, it was reversed, as he started slowly with little power. Here are the numbers:

2007 (pre-All Star game)
.263 ba, .389 obp, .450 slug

2008 (post-All Star game)
.261 ba, .391 obp, .445 slug

Last year he got stronger as the season progressed. This season he got worse. Any batting tips you can suggest to Puma?

Sorry, but I'm still giving pitching tips to Lidge and Lincecum, I'll work on Lance after I'm done with them.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.
