Nice to see Roy going to the breaking stuff (effectively) early tonight.

Geez... 120 games this year is beginning to look optimistic. Did I just hear JD say that Wgginton was placed on the DL after all?

WOW.  Three runs in the first inning.  Hope the offense doesn't go into Operation Shutdown now.

Yeah, theyre calling up Newhan.  Chuck reported that he saw Wigginton today with a large bandage on his hand, not unexpected, http://www.spikesnstars.com/forums/index.php?action=post;quote=189453;topic=105380.20;num_replies=35;sesc=3830ff7646688223f7455c775cf5aa2d

I am really concerned about Roy.  Is he hiding an injury?  Is his arm just dead?  It's been the same song for each of his first 3 starts... Lots of runs, long balls, high pitch count early.

Didn't think his stuff looked that bad that inning - think JD said as much as well (and in fact his breaking stuff looked pretty good the first couple of innings).  I'd normally just chalk it up to an 'Oswalt inning,' but based on his first two starts am not sure...

Not a clue.  He'll whip his leg when he's tired and trying to get more velocity.  Didnt see that.  He's also not shy to shut the game down when the mound is not to his liking and his front foot is sliding.

After his 6 inning no hit game in ST, this makes 5 rough starts in a row.
Something isn't right, be it the "dead arm" he complained of earlier or something else thats throwing his mechanics off.

Anything I say would be pointless speculation.  But his delivery looks odd.   He's twisting or dropping?

I will be surprised if he makes his next scheduled start. His ERA stands at 9.00 after 3 turns up. That's tells me enough to know that some thing is bothering him. And he did acknowledge the dead arm coming out of ST.

Levine blogged that he heard some boos at MMP after the Nolasco HR. LINK. How in the hell could someone EVER boo Roy??? SHITHEADS!

Quote
Then a fourth, as Hanley Ramirez followed a hit by pitcher Ricky Nolasco with another homer near the same spot, and some boos came out at Minute Maid.

As his pitch count hit 85, he finally got out of the fourth inning, four home runs and eight runs into the night.

Yeah, Houston baseball observers are ignorant and viscious.  Not to the standard of Philly fans, buts that's only because they dont understand baseball enough to know all the opportunities to boo.
