Deja Vu: Name the LCS
« on: October 18, 2007, 09:02:31 pm »
The team with Home Field in the LCS (call them the favorite) wins game 1 (over the underdog), but loses Game 2.

Traveling to the other city, the favorite loses both Games 3 and 4 on the road but has their ace going in Game 5 against the other team's left handed Game 1 starter, with a matchup against arguably the underdog team's best pitcher, a young RHP, in Game 6 looming, but back at home.

The favorite takes a 2-1 lead in the top of the 3rd inning of Game 5 and holds it for a few innings.

2005 NLCS.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

Yep, and the deja vu is continuing in the 6th.  Look for a 3 run inning in the bottom of the 7th and then a classic Borowski- Ortiz or Borowski-Manny matchup in the 9th.

C,C, Sabathia was pulled after the first two men reached in the top of the 7th inning.
ditto for Pettitte in 2005

But the Cardinals failed to score of course.
