That's actually frighteningly accurate.

Yes, they are irredeemable assholes.  So is Phil Rogers.  He calls the WS matchup "lackluster" and says "...it's going to be hard to top the 10 days of hardball just staged between the American League's two best teams." (scores in the ALCS 10-3, 13-6, 4-2, 7-3, 7-1, 12-2, 11-2 .  NLCS 5-1, 3-2, 4-1, 6-4. and the Red Sox and that other team) "...salvaged a postseason that otherwise has been completely devoid of drama." He is only remotely accurate in that a 7-game series almost has to have a small degree of drama.

Here's the bigger problem:
There was not a single lead change in any of the final 5 games.  In game one, the only lead change was in the first inning.  Only game 2 had any semblance of drama.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

How come when the Rockies sweep everybody on their schedule, the playoffs are "void of drama"
But if the Evil Empire does it they are "treating us to a display of dominace that only a fool could not appriciate"
I must be a fool!

It perfectly describes Bill Simmons' column from today.  I like reading his stuff when he doesn't talk about Boston, but that's not very common these days.
Crazy Joe McCluskey was fucking nuts.  It's why they called him Crazy Joe.

I lost interest in Simmons when he became a full-time Boston beat reporter.
Today seems like a good day to burn a bridge or two

Which oddly enough coincided with him moving from Boston to L.A.
