Carlos barehanded a fly off the Crawford and threw a strike to 2nd.  Kent was cadillacing out of the box and got what he deserved.  Lee may be figuring out this left field thing.

Lee is kind of like the anti-Berkman.  Berkman is a mostly competent ballplayer that has intermittent lapses in concentration that keep him from living down his reputation as a goofball.  Lee has intermittent attacks of concentration.  Just when you think you can't watch his incompetence in the field any longer, he comes up with a stolen base, a nice defensive play or hustles down the line.

Interesting ab by Scott.  He was crouched over and looking away.  Swung at a high fastball, and strike three swinging was inside at the knees.

Berkman tosses it to Bork on a nice play for out number two.
I forgot that I rewound to see the Lowe tirade, but never reset to realtime. After seeing two plays called just prior to viewing them, I was beginning to wonder what manner of soothsayer was calling the action. I blame it on the beer.

Damn, Furcal with a barehanded scoop that nabs Bidge by less than half a step. 1 down, bottom of the 6th.

I figured it had something to do with the movie due to the Homer "D'oh"s in the background.  Eh, it's still asinine.

If the game were on big FOX, they would probably have an animated graphic of Homer superimposed over the catcher, catching the pitch in his mouth and chowing down on it, with sound effects.  I doubt I'll be catching this Saturday's FOX game since I'll be in New Orleans with the family.  I'll be sure to check the game thread later to find out what horrors they ran out there.

you NEVER try to get "one more" in a situation like that. you want him to take nothing but positives from the outing.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.
