Hunter Pence....

....has a terrible arm.

That is all.  Carry on.

Do the oldtimers on this site think it's cool to criticize rookies?  He gets picked a part on here more than any other player.  Is it some sort of hazing ritual?

There is plenty I could criticize on this team.  Hunter's game comes in about 50th.

No, it's an observation about his baseball playing skill.

Yay! someone else rushing to Hunter's defense!

Thank God, he needs all the defensive help he can get!

you must not be watching.

you see, defense is very important in CF, especially in MMPUS. Pence's offense is going great. he struggles on defense, and Mr. Hawk commented on his defense. he was quite right, too.

No, we think it's cool to watch the games very closely and notice what goes on in the field and why what happens happens.  Pence's arm, which is only one part of his game, is about 7th by my count on what there is to criticize on this team.  But first when teams are going 1st to 3rd and 2nd to home on every single to center.

I've learned a lot from the so-called "old-timers'" comments about a player's plusses and minuses here. I for one appreciate it a lot. And they happen to be right about 99% of the time. Hang around. They're pretty amazing.

Yeah, whatever. You guys are always pickin' on that Ozwalt guy, and Berkman, and Lee. Those guys are still rookies, aren't they?

Must be.  Why else would we have trademarked "Oswalt inning" to describe the inning that happens every game when he comes apart?  Berkman has been described as having the baseball sense God gave a guppy.  Carlos Lee's interest in running has been calculated exactly, none.  Loretta can't go to his right at 3d and his range at short has been blamed for the better part of several loses, Mike Lamb's nickname is Clank, Biggio has the range of a Meyer's Lemon Tree.  Trever Miller doesn't deserve be on the team, Brad Lidge is a nut case...damn rookies.

They broke up?

I caught the tail end of his interview with ESPN radio around 3:30 or so this afternoon, as in, "Thank you for having me."  Do they save those at their website?

Please quit picking on the poor guppies.
