I know we done some things lately that borders on insanity. Otter being the most ardent and smelly of the bunch, taking the chapter out of Rick White's book (the book that has more pictures and less words of course). I took on my lawn the day before yesterday and while it did not produce a win, it was a humble and contrite offering from me for missing the AA meeting on Tuesday. It was unavoidable of course, but I still felt bad for not following through on an important offering. Others have eaten frito pies (hopefully with lots-o-onions). But last night, Jimmy D broke out a sacrifice that even the Redlegs feared.
The ugly plaid sports coat.
It was Jimmy D putting out the good karma and sacrificing to the BBGs for all to see. That is how it's done. With sincerity, with humility, with all the good graces one can muster. Props to Jimmy D for taking the lead in the broadcast booth and not poo-pooing on the need to sacrifice. It is entirely necessary and hopefully a lesson to you pagans amongst us... the BBGs are a force to deal with and you have to watch your steps as fans, as media, as players and as broadcasters too.
Nice!
