"The biggest thing for me right now is locating the fastball," said Albers. "I have to trust my stuff a little more. Maybe I over-adjust at times. Sometimes I try to do too much instead of just going back and focusing on the basics. If I start locating the fastball and have confidence in that, then the other pitches will come."
In preparation for this four-game series against Arizona, the Astros made a move to provide them with some additional bullpen depth by calling up lefty Mark McLemore from Triple-A Round Rock. McLemore appeared in 14 games with the Express, including four starts. He posted a stellar 1.91 ERA in 33 innings of work. He struck out 47 and batters hit just .169 off him. "He's in the bullpen and available," said manager Phil Garner.
so if Albers is gone now, who goes when Jennings is back? He's supposed to start Tuesday, right?Just a cup of coffee for McLemore? or do Woody or Wandy have a problem?
Or maybe Moehler doesn't have a job.
I don't know...I'm beginning to think that Brain's got some dirt on McLane or Pup....let your imagination run wild.
Is that you Rich Lord? That is exactly what he was saying last night on the way home.
Who's Rich Lord?
I was out most of the weekend, so I may have missed it, but with Albers already at RR who is out when Jennings is activated?
Most likely, Mark McLemore.
McLemore, Purpura announced last night.
