Interesting take from Nolan Ryan

wonder how his career would have finished had he had the same options clemens had. kinda skirts round the bonds issue but does admit that steriods are a problem in baseball. i got to see him pitch at the dome. that was a true baseball expericne

I first saw a raw Ryan pitch in person for the steM. The hitters were petrified-the name Ryne Duren was going around the ballpark. When I saw Ryan pitch for the Angels, he still walked a lot of hitters, but he was clearly a work in progress and he was pitching and winning as often as he was losing for a poor club. Its amazing how he finished his career from a control standpoint. When Ryan had his curveball going, the combo of his hook and his cheese led him to throw seven no-hitters and a slew of one-hitters. I saw him throw a one-hitter for the Rangers when the only hit could have easily been called an error. He didn't walk a soul.
