(Sat.) Jose Castillo's agent has asked the Pirates to try to trade his client if he cannot play regularly....the New York Mets have been searching for a second baseman since losing Jose Valentin to a knee injury April 28. He could miss as much as half the season, and his replacement has been Damion Easley, 37. Link

Are you suggesting the steM as a possible place to move Burke?

All the same.

I have been to Baltimore.  And I have smelled my unclean ass after a warm Central Texas summer.

The question is, can you get anything for Burke?  I don't believe you will get much that would help us.  Sure we could use a good starting pitcher but do you think if we packaged Burke with Ensberg with a player to be names he would be worth a damn?  His stock has fallen greatly as has Ensberg's.

Of course I am biased in that I am an Ensberg fan but could you get a younger decent starting pitcher for that?

A starting pitcher is fine, but the Astros seem to have plenty of pitching... for right now.

If the Astros trade Burke and Ensberg, and play Lamb at third, then Astros need a lefty hitter for the bench and perhaps a 2b prospect of some kind.

absolutely 100% not true.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.
