Mechanical problems are contagious

Both these stories were posted today, Philly Inquirer,

Myers is 0-2 with a 15.26 ERA in his last two starts, and the Phillies desperately need him to bounce back Friday in a series opener in Cincinnati.

The righthander believes that most of his problems are mechanical. ...

"It's my arm angle," Myers, who had a bullpen session, said yesterday. "I found that out today. I think my arm angle was down a little bit, ...

"I've been fighting with this since spring training. It's kind of there, you know? It's definitely better."

The Phillies will attempt to improve what's been an unreliable bullpen by moving Brett Myers into a relief role and returning veteran Jon Lieber to the starting rotation....

Manager Charlie Manuel said that Myers will pitch in the late innings as a setup reliever and could be the closer on days when Tom Gordon, the regular closer, is unavailable
