You sound like you could use a hug or a dog.
Well, that K did it. Just a small tear, but it did it. (I was FaceTiming with my ol’ Lady and the dog too)
Two things.
#1 - Anyone know TxRascal? If you do, can you tell him to accept the tickets!
#2 - Anyone interested in getting together on the 29th to watch the Astros on Opening Day up north?
Did any of you order the "front page" from the Chronicle from the day-after? It is supposedly a glossy "suitable for framing". Wife ordered it and they charged our account November 3rd and that's the last we have heard from them.
In your line of work, doesn't the rental car usually come with a .50 cal?Generally in the Air Force we check for the nicest hotels where we are landing next. I get to shoot a gun once every other year or so. I think it'd be easier to get my hands on a .50 cal here in Texas rather than from the military.
A couple of suggestions:
Never refer to a Turk as an Arab.
Stay away from the raki.
hey, when did you graduate from Alvin. we played them when i was at Brenham, but you're probably much younger.
So, if he owns a house here, he has a right to come back? Just after a clarification.
Thanks

I already know what you're going to say.
"Kiddie console kiddie games gimmick controller no hi-def no home media no hard drive no Halo"
Hopefully you won't have to post a response now.
jim, for the record, i've been posting here (off and on) as long as you have, or very nearly as long (9 years). so no need to pull rank or whatever it is you think you're doing here. i'm very much aware of the forum's dynamics; cognizant of the however many decent posters your tired, boring act has run out of here.
i'm asking a question in response to someone else's (coughcough) post; if noe doesn't want to discuss it, fine. but i'm not sure why you and your little lap dog have to jump in here and start launching petty little shit bombs.
Did you folks hear McCarver during the Cubs-Mets game today? I'll try to quote as precisely as I can.
"You know, the Dallas Cowboys at one point were considered 'America's Team.' If these Chicago Cubs can find a way to get to the playoffs, and find a way to get to the World Series, and find a way with Lou Piniella to win the World Series, that would be one of the top three athletic accomplishments in American history. I don't think I'm overstating that."
As Noe notes, he's probably looking for a different kind of Mexican food than Tex-Mex. Still, I can see this:
A waiter places a plate of quesadillas on the table and asks Morgan if he will be needing anything else. Morgan stares at the waiter, speechless, barely blinking. The waiter walks off and returns with a plate or sizzling fajitas, setting them down right in front of Morgan. The waiter asks if there's anything else. Morgan continues staring blankly at him, dead silent. Finally, the waiter goes to the kitchen and comes back with a plate of enchiladas, which he deposits squarely before Morgan. Morgan finally turns toward the food, picks up a fork, and lunges at the dish before him, but comes up empty, his utensil never making contact with the food on the plate. He then gets up, expressionless, and walks out of the restaurant, muttering to himself.
I can't believe you guys aren't into the Pedro Alvarez watch. Big game tonight, D-Rays gotta win with Shields on the bump.
(1) There is no question in my mind that AE starts when he gets back and if someone still can't see the value of his defense and leadership, especially after the last few weeks, then they never will. And (b) in your scenerio above you assume Bruntlett's on the team when AE returns, he may not be.
