Interesting. It loads fine for me in IE as well.

His one talent is reading lips in a Bronx accent. He's hardly the next Bill Simmons.
Trump actually just a few minutes ago: “I don’t know him very well. I have not spoken to him much. This is not a man I know well. He seems like a nice guy though.”
Does it really shock you that a Rangers beat writer wants the Astros to be stripped of a rightfully earned World Series Championship?
Also, at this point, I’m hoping Jim Crane gets over his aversion to the luxury tax and is willing to do whatever it takes to build the best team possible for next season. Then, I want the Astros to win the World Series and shove it up Manfred’s and the rest of MLB’s collective asses.
Sondland just torched the entire administration.
Manfred is protecting the MLB brand. Ole Miss beat Alabama twice and the SEC and NCAA came down on the interlopers like a hailstorm. We're MLB interlopers, trespassing on the rightful territory of NY, Boston, and LA. What combination of fines, suspensions, and draft picks will this cost?
Any medical report they likely were to have received wouldn't have had the eventual diagnosis. They initially thought he had a problem with his pectoral muscle. Turns out after a more thorough examination he had a torn capsule in his right shoulder.
I can't remember a worse night's sleep.
I’m prepared. But fuck everyone who started saying the game or the series was over three innings ago.
AJ keeping his powder dry for tomorrow.
I’m listening on the radio. Who’s the guy they keep showing in the stands?
From our best reliever.
How about stick with the fucking call.
Jerry Meals in NY needs to read the rule book. And then tell the Nats to fuck off.
Wow. That's a bold call in the World Series.
Why did Reddick stop between 1st & 2nd.
What a horrible, horrible fucking at bat by Altuve.
He has done this HR thing all year. It's not a surprise.
What's annoying is that the offense has done the score-in-the-first-and-then-go-to-sleep thing again, which they've also done with disappointing frequency this year.
0-2, noncompetitive slider.
Tonight's theme.
I bet he was thinking FB down just like Smoltz was.
Strasburg is fucking cruising. Feels like the Nats have been batting this whole game.
Bucks pseudo crying yard unnecessarily added to the drama.
Shit...this is gonna be a long fucking game.
He's a good young hitter. Just turned 21.

I like it!
Well, he's such a good young hitter...
Shit...
Kind of early for a sac bunt...great play by Robbie though.
Astros fans postgame get all in on baby shark:

Only in bain if we get through them Tuesday, otherwise could still be viable
That was unexpected.
I’m sure the Nats rehearsing the trophy award after Game #2 had nothing to do with it.
Nobody was around to hear it but 3-1 to Springer I said "give it a ride George"...well, my dog heard but he didn't give a shit.
“Closing Time” doesn’t mean what you think it means.
Fuck. It's never easy when you get a guy down 0-2
This is what I was talking about: HR drought.
Yes, Come on La Pina!
Why first swings so much?
Has he been this bad for the entire game? I only picked up the game from Zimmerman's AB.
Holy shit. This ump sucks.

Could his 3 for 5 night, 2-run HR, production be due in part that he has not been sitting on the bench b/t innings?
Just wondering....
Jose didn’t want to park that beach ball Ross threw him right down the middle and up?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bregman fizzled in the bases loaded AB, but he also tomahawked a ball right at an outfielder and lined out to Turner (the nice leaping grab).
Another flyball was fairly well hit.
Let's hope he keeps hitting the ball hard and has some land on the outfield grass. Preferably with runners on.
He gave the home run signal.
I welcome our new robot baseball overlords.

Another hit.
He was sitting on breaking balls.
A zero is asking too much, isn't it?
George should have crushed that pitch.

Taubman has paid for his indiscretion with his job and possibly his career. At this point the media should STFU and move on.
And they'll get reminded of it daily at their spring training facility.
You have work in the morning. You should just let it go tonight man ---- you are projecting here.
You need some affection --- not an argument. You need help.
Their pitcher guts out 6 innings throwing 114 pitches, they reward him with the lead. JV gets the usual.
verlander deserved better
Major league umpire Rob Drake tweeted “I will be buying an AR-15 tomorrow, because if you impeach MY PRESIDENT this way, YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER CIVAL WAR!!! #MAGA2020”, according to a copy of the tweet obtained by ESPN. MLB says it is aware of it. News:
Also how does the third base ump miss it? If he's supposed to be able to call a check swing how can he miss that?
Just moved to the area (DC - Bethesda) from Kansas City, and I must say I enjoyed this post. Not that KC is any great shake, but for fuckity fucks sake, this Nationals team makes vomit a little in the back of my throat.
I would like nothing more than to see a thunderous gloryfuck of the political class, the swamp, and this shitstained excuse of a National League ball team they have here - along with anyone named Mookie shunned for life.
Btw,, I did not realize that we happen to have moved to and live in a specific area (Bethesda/Langley communities) where the spying/intelligence community is 1 out of every 10 residents. Awesome. Let's put these covert baseball jack sack nuttseys back in their Nests.
Two weeks here and already hating the Nationals like their the Mets
I though last night’s HPU had a consistent zone. It was a little generous on the edges too, which makes Cole’s struggles even more puzzling. He did miss the catcher’s interference, though, about which I’m not sure if I’m more surprised that he missed it or that it’s not challengeable.
That alone might have been worth a run because it turned 1st & 2nd with 0 outs into 1st only and 1 out.
Luhnow's comments @4:06 with Sean Salisbury.
Not a ton to be taken from it, tried to piggy back on AJ a bit. Will wait for the MLB process to play out and "hope we can put it behind us". Still kinda sounds a bit like "sorry you were offended". Writers have circled the wagons, have multiple witnesses supporting original article and all the Astros have given us is Taubman's statement.
Springer did wake up. Bregman was the worst culprit. The ball must look like a BB to him right now. ATEM balls were an issue too. The Nationals seemed to hit everything where we weren't.

Too many batters have taken turns this postseason to slump, especially with runners on.
It'll be the epitaph on this season if it doesn't get corrected.
Bregman and Alvarez are prime culprits. The singles and the walk from Alvarez were certainly encouraging, but at nut cuttin' time when a single would plate the go ahead run, he fouls off a meaty 1 strike FB then Ks swinging at a chin high heater.
Bregman was a total mess too. He acknowledged as much postgame. He's gotta fix it. And yes, I know it's just that easy.
Yordan fouled off the only hittable pitch he was likely to see.
As disappointing as Cole's outing has been, the offense has had so many opportunities to plate runs this game and has consistently come up empty. I hate that Cole will be the story.
It is, but the Astros have missed opportunities with runners in scoring position. They now have four innings to get at least three runs.
We got to Scherzer. Cole didn't Scherzer.
Not as much as the lineup has so far.
I sure like the approach against Scherzer though.
Their starting pitchers can beat our starting pitchers any day. We have the advantage in depth.
Omg, Turner hammered that foul.
Cole looking mortal.
last inning for MadMax?
That's not reviewable? huh..
'I'm sorry you are upset' is not an apology.
I don’t know if the reporter has an axe to grind, but the Astros’ response grabbed the axe and planted it firmly in their own foot.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wasn't Eddings the guy who didn't award Biggio 1B after a HBP then tossed him after Craig popped out and blew up?
I don't have an axe to grind with him, just a memorable moment.
I think that Devinski is a good choice. He was much improved at the end of the season. He has playoff experience (but with poor results). Might Hinch be thinking he would be a good match up against Soto?
Torres covering second? Agreed (!) re Bracamonte’s presentation.
The OFers were very deep in a no doubles defense so anything Altuve hit had to be hard, high, and off the wall or over it to score Springer. When he hit it, my first thought was “that’s out,” then I saw it was headed toward the bullpen well. I was not certain till it hit the wall, and I hoped Springer was sprinting.
I consider myself a pretty good fan but you provide a scouting report on the umps? Half of which I don't recognize the names? Ok.
Where are Doug Harvey and John Kibler? Jocko Conlan?
Mr. T. I represented public entities for 37 years. In addition, I was a fairly high-profile coach who dealt with the media every day. I have heard that trite saying many times, and I know it is true.
My point is and was some in the media will keep this alive at least in part out of animosity for the Astros.
And Herman appears to be blaming everyone else for the fact that this team continues. to be. all-world horrible in the basics. He lives and dies by the trick plays, and he is not going to consistently beat anyone if he cannot shake that approach.
Doug Eddings is an enormous douche bag
Bracamonte later gave the ball to an MLB authenticator.

No. He is not as tall as Springer who played it perfectly and just missed.
No mention of cause? I did not see one.
Here’s a question: has any AL WS team ever been less impacted by the loss of their DH for road games?
I remember arguing with Mark (or was it abuse?) about him his first year and how much work he needed to get tolerable with his feet and reads around the bag. Good times. I think he turned out ok.
This might be a pass out/come to/check the final/not sleep situation.
Bregman needs to start hitting like an MVP
See that Stanton will be DH today, replacing Encarnacion. Not a bad move-they have to do something.
He found his stuff in the 6th and the contrast between the last 2 innings and the first few is crazy. The last 2 innings it looked like an adult was pitching to a tee ball team

Right. At least give them each their own trenchcoat.
In another bit of good news, Joe Buck will not call the game tomorrow because he has to suffer through a football game in Denver. Joe Davis (LA Dodgers) will take his place.
Link
Following that train of thought, it should be Cole Saturday (if necessary) and all hands on deck (including Verlander, Greinke, and probably even Cole) on Sunday (if necessary)
It’s raining so hard in Houston right now that, if the games were here, they’d still be played in Arlington.
Nelson got hit with a ball on the head/mask. rung his bell.
Why the umpire switch?
If you made good use of the break during the umpire swirch you could have brewed your own.

Brantley singles to CF on the first pitch
Bregman...3-0...walks, Brantley to 2B
That's it for Severino, Green in
Gurriel lines out to RCF...hit it hard, but right at 'em
Alvarez...full up...strikes out swinging...no chance
2-0 Astros
Seriously...this is ridiculous...I've put the gear on tens of thousands of times...it doesn't take this fucking long.

Yep. I didn't see the first pitch in that AB. But the 1-0 and 2-0 pitches were strikes.

Beyond awesome. SIamming his fist down in the air - I haven't seen anything that great in a long time.
I can't understand what he is saying. Is there a transcript anywhere?
Arod just called Correa Beltran. He really is stupid.
I'll just say that I appreciate the make up call by Blaser. It was a marginal pitch but Blaser realized he'd fucked up the previous pitch. Had the exact same thing happened with the Astros batting you would not hear shit from me about it.
Holy fuck, what a blown call that was. He missed that ball by a foot, called a foul tip.
Fucking bullshit.
I sure miss the Vaunting.
Correa getting good swings....
Batting around would be nice.
Cole 1-0 victory?

I figured there was a good chance they would lose this game, but I thought they would at least make it interesting. I'm really concerned that the offense is going to take the rest of the month off. They've had one good inning in six postseason games.
Yeah, he was good enough to win with a little offense.

My hunch is we reverse last year's ALCS this year.

George agrees
at how the announcers last night talked over and over and over how the rays would chip away at the astros lead? (almost uphoric when the home run was hit) and how the rays were used to coming back...and finally maybe thinking if they did not get on base they might not win the game? almost seemed like they were in the stages of grief
Jomboy's got you covered.
Agreed. Hell, it could be argued that Tampa Bay was stealing signs, the way they laid off quality breaking pitches (Osuna's outing in Game 2 comes to mind) throughout the series. I don't think that is the case, but their ability to do so was impressive.
Did Cintron discover the tell from video, prior to the game? Or did he catch it in the lead off Springer at bat?
Maybe the discussion was about something else, but if I had determined that a guy was tipping pitches, I wouldn't announce it to the world by grabbing Correa on his way to the plate and excitedly explaining it to him.
Glasnow said in the postgame that once he reviewed the video it was obvious that he was tipping. He wouldn't share the details.
Also, apparently Cintron is the tipping savant.
Outstanding game all around.. Now time to go get Cole his WS ring.

Nothing like strike zone consistency.
Bad swings, bad at bats, no life. Their letting the Rays hang around when they need to punch them in the throat.
Spotted 4 runs...
Welp...4-1
Didn't help Correa...he was lost
Bregman stops on the way to the dugout to tip Correa off on something about Glasnow.
Attababy Yuli!
Altuve hit the fuck out of that ball, which waseyechin high at least.
Fox News poll:
Do not impeach: 40%
Impeach but do not remove: 4%
Impeach and remove: 51%
Fox Fucking News!
This right here.
In fact, if you told anyone before the series began that we'd start Verlander in Game 1, Cole in Game 2, and Grienke in Game 3, then cobble together enough pitching to allow four runs in Game 4, they'd take that.
And, as noted, short of JV giving up zero runs, they can't win when the offense shuts down.
It ain’t over til it’s over.
So, I'm seeing all the day after managers saying how JV was "over confident" or too tired and should not have pitched yesterday. I still stand by the decision.
Partly, I'm just sick of people who rarely watch the games start commenting on them now. It's getting on my nerves today.
BREAKING NEWS: Home fans like to watch home teams winning at home.
...and that one by a lot.
They'd best unfuck themselves then. They've shown no interest in it so far.
Verlander is throwing fucking pus this inning.
Verlander looks gassed already.
Molina better not ever get in someone's face about hot dogging a homer again. Once you bat flip on a sac fly, your moral high ground is gone.
Imagine that, the crowd is louder with a lead.

I read that this morning and all I could think was "how on earth did Daryle Ward ever get a triple?"
Trump is no doubt guilty of just what you've said.
.
In the below article the authors of the book that was used for the NYT article gave some statements that the Times editors left out some details that they believed to be in their words “significant”.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/nyt-kavanaugh-book-skullduggery-132959100.html
From the linked article…
I guess the problem is it plays into the "Fake News" narrative. It's going to be called fake news by Trump supporters no matter what, but leaving out these details gave something of substance to be pointed to backing up the fake news claim.
Snuffy, this is easily your best post ever.
As has been said already about the media jumping to be the 1st to break a story. Now the Times has revised it's story to include that the accuser originally claiming the incident declined to be interviewed and her friends say she does't recall it.
What's that about?
Astros bats have gone to sleep.
Indeed.
How did Straw not get rung up on that 1-2 pitch? That was terrible.
I could see the Astros doing 4 years guaranteed with 3 years of options... but I would still question how they are going to fit another $30MM+ into the payroll and not pay luxury tax.
Finally checked this place out Sunday before last. Liked the tenders but will definitely be going back for one of those obscenely huge sandwiches.
They will have to spend their way out of it.
That secondary is a fucking sieve. I can't imagine them holding a team to under 30 points this season.
Yordan hit one to the moon. 10-0.
I don't know how you resisted re-posting the link as though it hadn't already been posted in this thread.
Found the link to F & W unless I have been Cabera'd already.
By the way: Carbera is a Brave. Or so I have been told.
It's hard to see how that long languid swing can work against big league pitching.
From your lofty internet perch, do you know that he wasn't? The people in his closest circles, those that actually know him, sure thought he was.
For the larger group, just because someone has opiates in their bloodstream, does not mean they are an addict. If, for example, someone with a barking shoulder is given a common pain killer by a trusted friend, it does not mean they are an addict. It just means they made a really stupid mistake.
Maybe Skaggs was an addict. Maybe he wasn't. Some on here are asserting, assuming or suggesting he was and that is not fair to him or his memory.
Hinch said today on MLB radio that Sanchez is still shut down, is getting more evaluations, and he is concerned that Sanchez will not be ready for the post-season. He said that they will know more when they get back to Houston.
My anger related to his stoic response to his error was wrong.
I can never "unsee" Giles beating himself publicly for his mistake. It was/is painful to watch.
Thankful Osuna is on the team and has taken full advantage of his 2nd chance. Tho a gifted athlete, it is all to easy to forget that he is human, just like me.
and the coach to whom you may be referring at least once each year had a player lob a ball to first instead of “step and throw.” I do not know if a high lob is a physical or a mental error. If his sin was not showing that he cares enough, ok. Perhaps he should have done as you suggested. He was stoic. He came back to get the next hitter on three pitches, and I imagine Hinch will take care of any perceived lack of competitiveness. I also do not know what he said to Hinch or to his teammates in the dugout or in the clubhouse. Maybe he said “my bad” to them.
Not you necessarily because I always thing the best of you, but much of the profane venom on here, in my opinion, is directed at his past, not his performance. No one on this team loses composure because of a mistake, not even a big home run or a crucial high lob from SS, and that is good. That coach you had also did not tolerate negative shows of emotion or fits of pique.
Was there the same reaction to Altuve’s lack of effort in Greinke’s game? I don’t remember any “fuck Altuve.” Fuck the lack of effort certainly, but fuck the player? No. Not me, and if this is what the GZ will be, you do not need me here.
Fuck Osuna. Could you give less of a fuck about this game?
At least he made up for it by pointlessly ejecting Reddick.
And then fucking Springer on back-to-back calls.
Reddick looks like he's closing his eyes and swinging in this at bat, ala Springer.
Sure would be fucking nice if Springer would stop swinging out of his fucking shoes and missing everything.

Goodwin 1-1 with a triple against Osuna. Here we go. Low, ball 1. On the knees, strike 1. Again on the knees, 1-2. High cheese, PONCHE!
2 outs.
Goodwin on to PH. Strommy out to chat about it.
Osuna facing Thaiss and Benboom to start the inning after pitching 4 of the last 5 games. Thaiss takes ball one on a bounce. Fouls off strike 1. 1-1 pitch swung under a high heater. 1-2 fouled off. Grounded to 1st, easy play 3U. 1 out.
Top 9, Osuna in the pitch despite being apparently totally gassed.
Reddick misses a fastball, strike 1. Wild swing over a breaker, 0-2. Fouls off a 97 mph fastball off the plate. 96 fouled off again. Angels have used 30 pitchers so far this year. Del Pozo is number 30. Chopped foul again. Takes a breaking ball at the belt, strike 3.
5-4 Astros, End 8
The biggest of fudges takes strike 1, swings over a breaker, strike 2. Swings over another breaker, ponche.
Ugh.
2 outs.
Miguel Del Pozo in for the Angels
4.99 ERA in 48.2 innings. Tops out at 98.
Toro leads off, Takes strike one on the outside corner. Osuna warming up in the pen, despite AJ saying he wouldn't pitch tonight. Low, ball 1. Ball 2. takes strike 2 on the knees. Osuna is wearing mismatched shoes. Toro rips one to 3rd, just got him at first, 5-3. Toro can beat feet down the line.
1 out.
Simmons takes a ball, low and out. Swings over a slider, 1-1. Low and out, 2-1. Smashed right at Toro, 5-3 out.
Mid 8
4-4
Butter-Tub Pujols did he go? yes he did. 0-1. Man, I can't get over how fat Albert looks in these black unis. 1-1. Swings under high heat, 1-2. Fully prepped for a mistake pitch here. Bounced, ball 2. Low and away, not close. 3-2 pitch rolled to short.... 6-3 easy out for the Porkbelly Pujols.
2 outs.
Upton fouls off strike 1. Fly to center, Marisnik back a few steps and under it. 1 out.
Calhoun hammers the first pitch deep to right, gone. Fuck you Hector. You fucking suck. Fucking meatball slider in the happy zone.
4-4
Top 8
Buckle up, Rondon in.
Bregman slammed on the brakes, almost went, then held up. Probably thought about how much he'd be yelled at for making the 3rd out at 3rd by Hinch.
Meeting at the mound now.
Chirinos with a 5 game hitting streak already locked in takes strike 1. Ball 1, out. 1-1 pitch Swings over a slider. 1-2, time out Robby. Bounced, ball. Swings behind a 98 mph fastball, ponche.
End 7, 5-3 Astros.
Yuli slashes one past Pujols, Bregman to 2nd.
1st and 2nd, 2 outs.
Bregman, on a 1-2 count after battling, slaps one up the middle base hit! Runner rounds 3rd and coming home, safe without a throw!
5-3 Astros
2 outs, runner on 1st.
Bregman up, Ausmus up as well. Out to get Noe. We're going to the pen.
Brantley takes strike one on the outer 3rd. Chopped foul on a low breaker. Throw over, not close. Takes a change right on the outside corner at the knees, called a ball (whew). 1-2 pitch just off the outside corner, 2-2. Brantley hitting .292 with 2 strikes. Fouled off. Astros as a team are hitting .204 with 2 strikes, which is best in baseball. That's fucking crazy. Ball 3, outside. Full count, 1 out. Altuve on the move, smacked to 2nd, 4-3. Altuve to 2nd.
2 outs.
Altuve ball one, up and in. Slashed down the line past a diving Thaiss, Simmonds plays the carom perfectly and fires in to 2nd. Altuve slams on the brakes and is held to a single.
Bottom 7
Springer leads it off, takes ball 1. Chops one to short, Simmonds barehands and fires, GOT HIM! What a fucking play by a guy a can't. fucking. stand.
1 out.
"Clutch Cam" Harris on to face Otani ball one, low. Slapped foul, 1-1. Fouled back a fastball, 1-2. PONCHE, high fastball!
4-3 Astros, mid 7!
You're really harshing my coffee high.
Hinch out, Greinke is done. Harris on the way in to face the lefties.
2 outs in the 6th, 1st and 3rd.
Trout takes ball 1, out. Takes strike 1 on the inside corner. Throw to first, not close. Popped up to shallow center, Marisnik flying in and makes the catch.
1 out!
Another shiftfuck single brings Trout to the plate with the tying run at 3B...
Fletcher takes a strike. Takes a ball. Apparently Julia is taking flak from the dugout for going with "Julia" on her player's weekend jersey. Altuve has called her Hulia for a long time. Fletcher shoots on the other way with the runner going and gets an easy single.
1st and 3rd, nobody out FUCKING AGAIN.
Boomer (the catcher) doinks one just over Bregman for a single.
1 out, 1 on.
Greinke still in the game. Thaiss takes strike 1. Swings over a breaker, strike 2. Will Harris just starting to tune up in the pen. Up, ball 1. Up, ball 2. Broadcast team suggesting that Osuna will be rested tonight no matter what. Dinker in front of the mound, Greinke pounces and fires, 1-3.
1 out.
Reddick takes a ball and Marisnik is running, gunned out at 2nd on a nice toss by Benboom. Uh. On replay Jake looked safe. Not sure this will be reviewed. Nope. Out a 2nd. Josh grounds out 3-1 to end the inning.
Cannot fucking believe Toro got called out on replay. What a fuckjob.
End 6
4-3 Astros
Toro absolutely fucked by replay somehow. Fletcher clearly kicked him off the bag, but apparently that's fine. He's out.
1 out.
Marisnik swings over a pitch, 1-2. Low, ball 2 . Fouled off a high FB. And of course Marisnik singles to left.
2 outs, runner on first.
(Super questionably ruled a hit)
Big Fudge takes ball 1, Toro going on strike one, SUPER awkward side but Toro is somehow safe! On replay, Fletcher kicked his foot off the bag and tags him while he's off. We're reviewing it apparently. Curious to see how this goes.
Bottom 6
Today is a scheduled day off for Yordan, in case anyone was wondering.
Toro takes a ball, takes a strike. Chopper to the right side, Noe whiffs entirely and Toro is safe easily!
(waiting for a OS decision).
Simmonds chops one foul down the 3b line. He's ground in to 16 double plays this season, and just came off the IL after spraining his ankle. 0-1 pitch Popped in to the seats from one knee, Springer-style (I fucking HATE that shit). Bounced, ball 1. Bounced again, Greinke overthrowing REALLY badly suddenly. Chopped right to Greinke, turns and fires 1-4-3, DOUBLE PLAY!

4-3 Astros
Kole smashes one through the shift between SS and 2B (both on the right side of the infield). Otani moves to 3rd easily. 1st and 3rd, no outs AGAIN.
Otani grounds one a few steps to Altuve's right, he clanks it and Otani is safe. Pretty terrible error to lead off the 6th.
Yuli switched back to his normal bat for that AB. Maldonado was chasing him with the pineapple bat when he got back to the dugout. Amazing. Chirinos takes strike 1, swings over a breaker, strike 2. Yuli's homer was 3 rows deep in dead right. Ball 1, low and in. Up, ball 2. Breaker that ends up right down the pipe fouled over the screen. Still 2-2, Low and out, fills it up. Swings over a slider.
End 5
4-2 Astros (while they replay Maldonado harassing Yuli in the dugout)
Noe Ramirez "Nono" in to face La Pina. This is the clown that dotted Big Fudge last series. Ball one, low and out. Friendly reminder that Breggers is standing on 2nd with outs. Back in a bit with a new pitcher.
Bregman takes a fastball on the outside corner, strike 1. Takes another outside corner pitch, strike 2. Bounced, ball 1. Bounced again. Suarzed about to throw the most pitches he's tossed in his MLB career... Meatball Bregman rips down the LF line past a diving third sacker, easy double.
Brantley takes strike one at the top of the zone. Regarding black baseball pants, anyone that isn't built like Adonis looks like they shit their pants. Ball 1, out. Fouls off an inside fastball, 1-2. Bounced outside, 2-2. Swings over a low breaking ball, 2 outs.
Bottom 5
Altuve takes ball one, low. Suarez is at 78 pitches. Ball 2, low and in. Strike 1 on the outside corner. Meatball right down the middle popped to center. 1 out.

Slow curve right down the fucking middle hammered on a line to right, Reddick slides to cut it from getting to the fence and fires it back in, but not in time. Theiss on 2nd, nobody out. Reddick looks a little worse for wear after that play.
Springer takes strike one off the outside corner. Stu Swhatever is shitty. Up and in, ball 1. 1-1 count, I missed a pitch, it's 2-1 Angels have action in the pen. Springer gets a meatball and grounds it to 3rd, 5-4 to end the inning.
2-2
End 4.
But where the fielder was positioned, his momentum carried him out into right field (sort of). would he have really spun around and fired to third? I mean, it's all moot now, so no big deal.
Reddick takes a strike, fouls one back. Toro almost hit 30 feet per second on his infield hit. 0-2 pitch way inside, Reddick back offs. 1-2. Swings over a slider at the knees, 2 outs. That was very hittable.
2 outs.
Jake. nice hitting there.
Big Fudge with an RBI knock!
Chirinos whacks one to left center, it sits down and Chirinos cruises in to 2nd with a career best 18th double.
Simmonds takes ball on, low and out. Twitter folks are calling this game "Cons vs. Guards" ala Longest Yard with these ugly fucking unis. 1-0 hit a mile in the air. Uncle Mike a few steps in and hauls it in.
3 outs.
Hey Astros bats, SERIOUSLY! THIS GUY FUCKING SUCKS! GET SOME FUCKING HITS!

Comrade Kolesli takes a strike, takes a ball. 1-1, ball outside. Drilled to right field, off the wall. Leadoff double.
Breggers takes ball 1, low. Balk again to first, not close. His steps are about 60 percent toward home. Where's Bob Davidson when you need him? Fouled off a change up, 1-1. Swings over a change up that was probably a little low, 1-2. Fouls off the same pitch. 1-2 pitch throws over. Again. Fouled a fastball. Fouls off another low change. Center cut fastball at 95!, fouled off. Still 1-2, Breaking ball low and in, hit straight up. Simmonds hauls it in.
End 3

2-1 Angels
Springer takes ball 1, low. Off the inside corner, strike 1. 1-1 pitch way inside, 2-1. Grounds a knee high fastball right at SS, 6-4-3. WHY ARE YOU SWINGING AT THAT PITCH WITH LESS THAN 2 STRIKES?!

2-0 Angels
Mid 2.
Matty squares to bunt, takes a ball. Takes ball 2 outside. Greinke struggling to find the outside corner on an umpire that is very generous out there. Ripped at Toro in the SS position, dropped initially, throws to 2nd for the force, then to first, safe. If Toro fields that on the line, that was an easy double play, Simmonds was running.
2 outs.
Simba takes strike one on the knees. Pops up a knee high fastball over the netting, foul. 0-2 pitch. Curve ball in, Simmons tried really hard to get hit by it, but couldn't push his junk far enough back toward the plate to get hit, 1-2. Fouled off a low breaker. Hinch is going by "Skip" this go round for player's weekend. Another breaker on the inside corner, fouled again. Gary Pettis is wearing GP tonight (he snagged the foul ball). 2-2 pitch Swings over a breaking ball way inside, ponche.
Glad our best overall hitter sac-ed the run over. Fucking idiotic.

This is supposed to be about the players. Why does the league insist they wear clown suits?
Champ with a runner on 2nd and 1 out, ball one low and out. Brantley's all white helmet is absolutely covered in pine tar. Fouls off a cookie right down the pipe, 1-1. Ball, low. I would like to say again that Altuve intentionally sacrificed in his at bat. WHY?! Ball 3, breaking ball that broke WAY outside, 3-1. His helmet looks fucking hilarious. Strike 2, off the outside corner... This HPU fucking sucks so far. Full count fouls off an outside corner that clearly he felt he couldn't take. Same again, but further out. Line drive to left, Upton back and makes the catch at the edge of the warning track in front of the Crawford Boxes.
