This is amazing!!

Did you connect with blue tooth? Never done that before
For those with direct tv and not in Houston, are the games dependably on or do they find ways to screw you also?
Thanks to this thread I tried the new Drake and Childish Gambino. Loved the latter as much as I didn't love the former.
That sure is a lot of information regarding the location. Good luck on your beer hunt and the cookoff.
I'm fine with the current scheme/logo, as long as they ditch the godawful fucking pinstripes.
So there's a sub-group of weirdos silently watching and apparently recording our every move. I now feel more discomfited than usual.
Has to be Sunday for Week 1 to count.
Capitol, Pentagon, etc being evacuated. Felt as far as NYC and Toronto
Hope all our friends in that area are safe.
As a side effect of dining there, however, my sons are now of the opinion that all French fries should be cooked in duck fat.
WTF man. You asked me multiple times to be in this league, and I've had the draft date and time posted for a long time. I can make your slot a bye week if you can't get your shit together.
I have become a big fan of things Real Ale. Their Firemans #4 has been my staple all summer long. They even have it on draught at The Hemingway. I've yet to try the Oktoberfest (things are a bit slow making it out this way), but it's at the top of my list.
Had a couple Devil's Backbone trippels from Real Ale this weekend. They just started bottling it after being a draught-only thing for a while. Quite good, complex without being too floral, nice balance of being a well-rounded beer that's easy enough for afternoon porch consumption.
I've said it before, but I'll say it again. When *I* own the Astros, they shall revert to their "real" team colors (navy and orange) and they shall wear the shooting star suits from 1965. With stirrups. And black shoes.
How many spellings did you try before you settled on that one?
My new favorite:
Frightened Rabbit - The Winter of Mixed Drinks
Good, polished Scottish indie rock. It's about all I listen to lately.
Their MySpace page has the new single "Swim until you can't see land" streaming, but nothing else from the current album. Their last one, Midnight Organ Fight, was pretty damn good, too, if not a little rough around the edges.
Optimator mighty good
Bullshit! Hardball for the C64.
Did Brees get credited with both a TD pass and an INT?
But you don't give a TD to a kick returner that scores, right?
Of course Meachem has the TD...he scored it. But it should also be a TD for the Saints defense.
Put it this way - if anyone can point to any instance besides this game of a review of just the clock (in an college game period) I will admit I'm just a sack of shit trolling stirring things up. I watch as much college football as anyone and have never seen it happen once.
Has it occurred to you that those extra running plays may come from the fact that the QB is now a gazelle instead of a lead footed octogenarian? If VY runs 4-5 more plays a game than Collins was, there's your difference right there.
Titans offense, first 6 games: 14.0 ppg
Titans offense, since VY took over, same RB, same WRs: 29.0 ppg
So, yeah, cram it, Aggie.
DirectTV: Mtn Net, Yes. CBS College Sports No. Barry Horn in his Dallas News column yesterday verified this. He is the Sports TV/Radio critic.
that dingbat Astros Girl/J-Mag was in the original thread
My family has a condo in Rockport. That is a very nice town but has no beaches.
There are a lot of reasons - they burn at a more predictable pace and temperature being the main one. Whether or not it makes us pussies is a separate issue.
The only 2 practical reasons I can think of to use the wood for heat are:
1) You think the charcoal introduces an off flavor
2) You think its impossible to get enough smoke using just wood on top of charcoal
I'm certain 2 is false. I haven't done enough comparison to say for sure on 1.
Even more sacrilegious, you can use gas or even electricity for the heat.
this is not some trek to the fucking mountains of fucking India to see some fucking guru who's gonna rub panda sperm on my jowels."
Torrent downloading is good for downloading whole libraries of music at a time.
Usually Best Buy will honor price changes through that 30 day period.
I've faithfully bought each album as it came out. For me, Ten and Vs are fantastic and I could put them on loop for days on end. Vitalogy and Pearl Jam are very good. The rest I simply could not get very excited about. And then there's the politics...
I must be the only guy in the world who thinks Pearl Jam is the most ridiculously overrated band since Nirvana.
I'm a fan of Lupe Tortilla. When we visit my family, I try to take the wife to eat there. Living in Pflugerville, I have to say, has led me to experience some of the worst Tex Mex I've ever had. We've found a couple places we like but there are some plain awful chains that seem to drive steady business. Pappasito's is awesome in comparison to some of the places.
Either that or the sum of his thoughts can be entirely written on a 1" x 1" sticky that fits handily in his pocket.
Scott James Waldo, the world's newest Astros fan, was born on January 30 at 10:06pm. Except for a little fluid in his lungs, mom and baby are doing great!
Also, Friday Night Lights returns to network TV tonight. For those that didn't get to watch it already on DirecTV, the 3rd season was really good.
Crying about being screwed and claiming the SEC way is better because it would benefit Texas is just asinine. And spending two days crying about UT fans crying about being screwed is somehow *less* asinine?
Try it without the ice to kill your tastebuds ... cold, but not too cold. Trust me on this just once.
Still don't think they'll win, but she has got that intangible likeablity. She is also intellegent, capable, and has great communication abilities. Are you talking about the same Sarah Palin that McCain chose as his running mate? Maybe you have to wear special goggles to see this 'intangible likeability' (sic) because I sure as hell ain't seeing it.
Mrs Tralfaz and i will be in attendance all three days. This years line up is a little lame compared to years past, but hey, beats working. Racontours, Hot Chip and Band of Horses top my list.
Sorry for not noticing this until just now.
I like it. Its not quite as gritty and nasty as their old stuff, but it still has a Toadies feel to it.
I just bought the new Toadies album, after seeing them live tonight. Album name: No Deliverance.
They were, as always, fucking amazing live.
Do you really think that hormonal 16 year olds are thinking that rationally, sitting in the backseat of a '74 Nova with Journey playing in the background?
3.) Ok, oil is made from the fossils of things that died millions of year ago. Each year something dies, and each year a dead something had the chance to be turned into that black gold called oil. Its been happening for years on end...but apparently we are running out of oil. If you notice, it seems like every now and then they say "hey we found more oil". The earth creates it!
Where do you think HISD gets its funding?
Well, maybe you dont know this. The reason HISD wants kids to go to school every single day (and takes away off days mostly) is because they get a special tax bonus from the state. Also...what the hell are you talking about? The school district is watched by the state.

Banner day for cryptozoology....looks like the Chupacabra may be coming out of the closet too.
Best red ale I've ever had was in New Orleans. "Red Stallion" from a local micro-brewery near Jackson Square.
Hey, I didn't say she was ugly. But, honestly, you will find better looking women working at your local gentleman's club. Without the towel, and without erection-killer Shia LeBouf.
I'm gonna stick to Firefox, even though it IS a memory hog. I can't upgrade to 3 because for some reason it hangs on the Yahoo home page, and since I use Yahoo mail, that's kind of a problem. Maybe Firefox just doesn't like me or my laptop for some reason.
Smithwick's is starting to show up this side of the pond. That's a good thing.I agree. I can get it at HEB Plus, and they have it on tap at Fado's in Austin.
i could be the last to know,
but my heb at louetta and stuebner
has shiner 12-packs for $8.99
Oh, and if you have a PS3, don't expect to use the Guitar Hero guitar with Rock Band.
I hope this was a joke that I didn't get, but that's not Jason Lee. Remember, imdb is just a click away.Actually it is Jason Lee. Remember, IMDB is only a click away (or if you have Firefox running, you can easily add it to your drop down search box).
The fact that Jason Lee continues to find work is mind-boggling to me. He hasn't made a decent movie since Mallrats and Chasing Amy, and the latter is now ten years old.
Kids don't ride school buses to these anymore either; 3 games at Kyle Field last weekend and the town was filled with chartered buses. The kids at my school will be proudly riding the yellow dog down the road to their Regional Championship game Friday night.
Okay, forgive me if this is a bit naive, but money? Really? How much revenue could possibly be generated by gate receipts and concessions? Granted, I'm sure the schools are glad to get it, but are HS football tickets pricey enough to bring in a significant amount of money? And who gets that money since many if not most playoff games are played at neutral sites? If money really is the answer, I would think there would have to be an larger revenue source than just ticket sales and concessions.Yes, money. It may not be a huge amount of money, but the schools take it. On many of the sports the schools don't come out 'ahead', but football is the moneymaker. This Friday we'll be playing in the Regional Championship at a neutral site about 50 miles from our town and 25 miles from the other town. There will be at least 5-6k fans there, at $8 a pop. It's not MMP attendance revenue, but it helps. I don't know the exact formula, but for the neutral site games, I'm sure the two schools playing get equal percentages with a chunk of the gate going to the host school.
But if that's so, why include so many teams in the playoffs in the first place? To put it quite bluntly: money. Football is the main sport that schools can generate revenue in via gate receipts, concessions, etc. Playoff games generate even more of the same. The more teams in the playoffs = more money for the schools.
All this talk about ACL and beer got me thinking of who is going to Bocktoberfest in Shiner this year. The lineup includes:
Godsmack
Diamond Rio
Blue October
Pat Green
Old 97s
Restless Heart
October 14th. I haven't been in a few years. Anyone planning on going this year?
that was my third time to see Patton, and he has been unimpressive each time. he got good results the other two, but he got pounded last night. average FB and flat breaking ball each time i have seen him. hard to think of him as a top of the rotation starter unless he is tired from a long season.
You didn't need it anyway.Apparently not.
