And about shooting him in the head and women are property.
Sounds like a charming fellow.

I like how he had the Jeffrey Mier "home run" on the positive side of his postseason record seeing as how it should have been an out
Scouts discussed sign stealing with the executive outside of email as well, on phone calls and in a group Slack channel. Multiple Astros scouts said they were appalled by the possibility they would be asked to use a camera — and said that some scouts indeed voiced as much to management. Another scout noted a generally confounded feeling amongst the group by the overall request.
So, what might a potential punishment even look like? On the extreme end, some fans have wondered whether the league would make the Astros vacate their 2017 title, akin to how the NCAA has punished college athletic programs like Louisville last year. Or MLB could slap an asterisk on the Astros’ 2017 title in all the record books. It could suspend or even permanently ban executives like GM Jeff Luhnow, who has been at the center of tech-related baseball scandals before. On the lower end of the spectrum, it could fine the team or the individuals involved.
Where was this stated? I have been trying to stay away from most of it, as I wanted to just wait for the official investigation to be over, but if this is the case, then shit...
I'm looking forward to a bobblehead of Orbit beating the hell out of a trash can. Not sure if he's a righty or a lefty.
The side of the trashcan has a big wear spot that looks like it's been beaten to shit.
In the video of the Gattis at bat on Jomboy, the catcher is clearly not hiding the changeup sign. I've no doubts it could be seen by either base coach or the dugout.
“They’ve been cheating, they still are cheating, and it’s time MLB puts a stop to it,’’ one National League GM said. “Come on, they won 60 games at home this year. Look at their numbers when guys are on base (MLB-best .282 average) since 2017. The banging of garbage cans and pipes (as a way to convey signs). The whistles. Everything.
One article today is quoting unidentified GMs as wanting the 2017 WS title vacated.
Stephen A. Smith now says Altuve’s walkoff against Chapman was 2019 sign stealing. Make it stop.
So, lies are justified? You’ll have a great time with teen-aged children.
Yes you will. It is right there in his name. I'm just grateful McLane's kids weren't interested back in the day.
As a former Beltway Bandit, I always had fun at Nats games. We'll survive.
You're such a pajama-wearing pussy, Chuck. And you always have been.
Soto may have gotten jobbed there.
I’m listening on the radio. Who’s the guy they keep showing in the stands?
Well, I hit the Worrell button, and tuned in Sparks and Ford. Already feel better.
Strasburg is fucking cruising. Feels like the Nats have been batting this whole game.
That guy and his dad are there for every game. Just unbelievably impassive frog-faced old dudes. That's the first time I'd ever seen him in the MAGA hat. I imagine it wasn't a coincidence.
Did none of you notice the girls during the Robles at bat???
Yesterday Crane sent a letter to Apstein apologizing to her and officially retracting the original bullshit statement.
“On behalf of the entire Astros organization, I want to personally apologize for the statement we issued on Monday October 21st,” Crane wrote. “We were wrong and I am sorry that we initially questioned your professionalism. We retract that statement, and I assure you that the Houston Astros will learn from this experience.”
He was a closer.
Wagner, right? Wasn’t that the first game of a doubleheader?
Which one of those white dudes in the stands is “Anonymous”?
That’s awesome.
If Springer grounds to SS, I'm gonna throw my wine glass in the fireplace.
My mom fucked up her shoulder one morning when she was moving chairs around for her Sunday school class. She had to have it operated on and they found a small cancerous tumor in her right lung looking a pre-op x-ray. She had recently just been declared cancer free the previous year from breast cancer. That was after a lot of chemo. Anyway the lung cancer was very early and they got it all. She has one kidbney, hell she's been operated on 20 some odd times in her life. She's tougher than most.
Better to be lucky than...well, just better to be lucky. 👍
Also, the Nationals have banned The Wave.
One of the very rare cases where they found it in stage 1A, almost by accident. Treatment has been hell on earth, and there is a higher risk of relapse, but it’s a miracle she’s made it this far.
HPU is not giving urquidy the same calls on the edges that Corbin is receiving.
It takes a lot of balls to call that a swing after what went on last night.
Yeah, I think you are. He's up there to drive a run in with 2 outs.
Cards in the dugout?
My second son, Max - he's the real baseball fan.
And, more notably, me and my 7 year old.
They've mostly used Pressly as the get-out-of-jams guy.
This isn’t the first time they’ve used Smith over Pressly in the post season, iirc.
Speaks about Pressly, don't it?
Greinke looked better than Correa.
Then it's likely there more as clickbait and pay me than anything else.
I really feel for those people in the stands.
Did you miss the first batter?
The press release and now Luhnow’s comments are the reason why I counsel my clients to buy the crisis management add-on to insurance packages. Allowing senior executives to rake-step their way through interview after interview does nothing but generate clicks for the media and bad press for the individuals and organization.
And I thought I would slowly drink this last beer over the last 2 innings...
I'll spare y'all the details but I look ridiculous.
Glad you know what no one else does. Ivory tower judgmental bullshit.
Crane has that one covered. Called it.
Time for Jose to hit one in the gap and be a hero.
Did you see that double play? Wow!
Yeah man, that's another subject I'm an expert in
It's an enthusiastic celebration of anonymous gay sex
It's time for these assholes to hit into a double play.
Hey y'all,
So some of the older posters on this site may remember that I was/am something of a musicologist. Well, I just wanted to share that since I last posted regularly on here, I have gotten my PHD in Musical Anthropology with an emphasis on American folk, blues, and roots musics. Anyway, one of the fascinating things I've discovered in the course of my studies is that the Bob Dylan song "Blowin' in the Wind" is actually about sucking dick.
This also got me to thinking... does anyone know Bregman’s link to autism? I know his foundation works to provide technology assistance to kids on the spectrum, and he’s working to open a school dedicated to kids on the spectrum.
I don't carry around the deep reserves of Yankee hate that some of you guys not unreasonably do, but I'm on board hoping they lose 100 games this year and I'll tell you why. I would like to think I have an appropriate level of respect for the game. Because of that, it offends me deeply that the Yankees seem to believe that they can assemble a competitive team by putting together a lineup of giant goons who can crush home runs and a bullpen the back of which features a bunch of guys who throw 100 miles per hour. I don't think defense registers even as an afterthought to these idiots. This team's defensive ineptitude offends me more than it brings me joy at the resulting failures. It's not surprising, I don't suppose. They sent Derek Jeter out to play shortstop for 20 years. For any number of those years the best shortstop in baseball played third base right next to him, so they obviously have never cared all that much about defense. But this is pretty bad.
It's not the worst defensive team I've ever seen, but they obviously don't care at all, and that pisses me off.
I don't know. I like London Calling, but to my taste, there are a lot of weak songs on the album to make it a top 5. Should have been a single album. Lost in the Supermarket is such an overrated song. And Jimmy Jazz? Lover's Rock? Meh.
I'm assuming the other one is London Calling?
I’m listening to John Coltrane on my turntable.
And most of them don’t care. (Some are nice people, I’m sure.)
I don't know if it's simple. Probably not but seeing the ball well against a different guy each time is probably really hard.
Meanwhile...7.2IP, 3H/2ER, 11K:4BB Yankee pen this series
4.2IP, 1H/0ER, 5K:2BB. Astros pen this series.
Our guys are holding their own very nicely.
I really thought JFS meant just fucking score, now I see it for what it is.
Too close to take. He took a fat pitch and swung at a higher one in that AB.
I wonder if they're going to talk about how the code-breaking factored in. In the middle of his extraordinary historical novel War and Remembrance, Herman Wouk interrupted the narrative to memorialize the pilots who--he thought at the time--just "happened" on the Japanese fleet after a desperate search.
Buck calling Judge “underrated” at anything is comical.
My frito pie was pizza. Supreme pizza. I picked off the olives. Did I do it right?
I turned to the radio feed in game 1 and never looked bad.
Toad the Wet Sprocket would have been more appropriate for the LA crew.
Rep. Mark Green, with NPR's Here & Now, talking about Trump and Syria:
"Yeah, I disagree with what he’s doing now, I wish it wasn’t happening, but I still fully support it."
What's your stance on neck tattoos?
Sorry, folks. This is clearly my doing.
So 2 of the 3 best moments came from people not in the booth.
Or stadium.
I am running out of things to clean.
They keep calling him the bat boy.
They did riff for a while on how that play could cost the Astros the series.
Really impressive what they did with their pitching staff with Snell and Glasnow missing a huge chunk of the season.
The worst thing about the Rays is that they're the opponent.
Absoulutely. Of course, I have personal reasons, but if not for the Astros, I'd easily be a Rays fan.
Meadows is a tough out.
The game is set for 12:05 CDT because why would they want kids to watch more than three innings of any postseason game.
He really struggles with two strikes, not unusual for a rookie.
Very much so. AJ at least drops the occasional tidbit like why the umpire is more likely to miss the high inside strike.
AJ Dickhead is one of the guys so you're making the right decision.
Chuck’s source should read this.
I forgot about the racist tweets. Fuck Hader.
I don't think it's much of stretch to believe the Angels will offer 6 years and $200 mil.
so, what is it you say you do here, Bill?
I missed the game but just saw the highlights. Not hard to tell what this referred to.
Not sure I want the Astros to face either of those teams.
That's because, despite being bereft of evidence supporting your position, most of you truly believe that you know more than the professionals.
From Twitter:
Point of order: Texans fans have to be the most pessismistic in the league.
Well, we scored tickets for games 1 and 2, but I'll be watching from a new vantage point: way up at the top out on the right field line.
A day off from what?
"Schlongus gorvellus" was taken?
Speaking of crazy shit Trump says, the whistleblower scandal appears to be about multiple occasions when Trump tried to blackmail Ukraine into investigating Biden.
Compared to saying you are just going to shut down one of the biggest growth industries in the U.S., drawing on a map with a sharpie is just "eccentric".
I’ll write up a longer post about the Japanese baseball experience sometime...
Then he would get bitched at for trying to bunt. Altuve can't do anything right in this forum.
Texans let Ben Jones walk a few years ago, only to draft his lesser replacement in the 2nd? round and then pay him more.
Stupid fuck. 15 seconds at the end of the first half is 3 points for the Saints. That's enough to have put it out of reach at the end.
Refs tried to give the Texans the game. Texans don't like that.
I have never seen a ball hit up there.
Blummer is out of the head.
Ace Fraley is apparently not going to rock and roll all night.
Today his shitbag campaign manager is advertising for sale on the website "the official Trump marker, which is different than every other marker on the market, because this one has the special ability to drive @CNN and the rest of the fake news crazy!"
I don’t understand the argument that “if we knew then what we know now we would never have done that” is somehow a subversion of democracy. Let the people speak.
Well, the obvious answer is to not takes unprescribed opoids, but I guess that is too easy.
What's the most recent polling say about faith in mass media?
That's where they've hurt themselves.
Robo got a D+. That seems unfair. Why shouldn't robo produce AN AVERAGE DRAFT?
I was thinking about D Watson as my fist pick.
Im going, Zeke, Tyreek, Melvin Gordon, Kareem Hunt, Gronk with my 1st 5
That last 5 minutes was some of the worst football I've seen in some time.
El Dorado rum from Guyana.
That was kind of sad and uncomfortable at the end.
Chuck casting from an inflatable kayak. What could possibly go wrong?
“A-Breg” is quite an underwhelming moniker.
Are you more of an Old Testament guy or a New Testament guy?
Remember that time when Abraham served the Angels.
Also, Mraup, seriously digging the lineup names.
There have some ex-Astros that I had grown fond of when they were here and I hope they do great, except when they play the Astros.
Again dude, It's Mr. Snuffleupagus to you.
Did you hire Neil as your guide?
Chick-fil-A is John Denver. Popeye's is George Clinton. Got it.
He was set up, man
Which itself is superior to the other kinds of roulette.
And yet, Chick-fil-A drive-thru lines extend out onto highway access roads.
10 years of healthy Correa skillset, is probably enough to be in the HoF. He has elite power, hit tool, very good speed for his size and good defense. The only thing he hasn't had is consistent health
Spinger is second most talented, then Bregman and then Altuve. Altuve has by far the smallest margin for error.
Slurring your speech on the bus is a no no.
Did you think Correa would be last?
The 3 run shot was a pop up.
If the links work, I think the second picture is right before Brantley's "Homer".
Too me, he was just getting warmed up on his first three albums but I'm the kind of fan that loves all his work. He's one of my all time favorites.
He’s on another planet right now.
Missing fairly badly on his arm side. Lance will tell you why.
He also says Luhnow told him Aaron Sanchez might start on Saturday and ideally will be used as a starter next season.
Counter point: He wanted to file an arbitration number of "either $6.9 million or $6,420,969.69," and then proceeded to make "69 days of giving" donating increments of $420.69 to a charity each day for 68 days followed by a 69th day contribution of $69,420.69.
Also it's being tweeted that the Stems have asked in return for Thor:
Twins - Buxton
Sox - Benintendi
So they're probably asking for Altuve.
Here's some of their exchange.

Fuck Molina, Muñoz, the Turdinals, and Bud.
Expansion I think is a good idea.
Much for Chuck's enjoyment when I draft a tight end in the first round, I'm back for more punishment.
Yep, but who the hell might be available?
You're cool, just read the boxscore.
Kemp and Straw are very similar players, except for the RH/LH hitting thing.
This post without context might be the best thing that's ever happened on OWA.
I think Rivera is certainly deserving of induction, but it seems a bit ironic that the first unanimous inductee is a reliever.
I didn’t know Derek Bell was so connected.
Has anyone heard who’s on the mound tomorrow?
Is that Bob Pollard’s band? My buddy really liked them and him and I recall numerous stories about how much he valued beer.
I responded, asshole, but did not bring it up. Doyce did.
Go fuck yourself. If you have some problem with me, leave Mark alone.
So the Angels are basically chuck regarding Keuchel on the whole topic. Got it.
Glad he is elsewhere.
If you were given Framber, White, and Eschenfelder, but only two bullets, which two would you stack back to back?
Carlos Correa has never hit a grand slam. Neither has Jake Marisnick
Little storm cells are like 3-5 miles across and booking to the SSW so any shower will be very short lived.
Given that all of the right wing's bad faith attacks turn out to be projections of their own behavior, this and the Trump Kentucky campaign chair seem to put the whole pizzagate lunacy into a new perspective.
I thought the Bible frowned upon that
I was gonna say earlier, I like these caps better too. The current ones are pretty close, but I like the understated look a little better.
Right down the middle for a strike.
Biden full pike with two and a half twists and into a nuclear face plant. Harris steps over him on the way to kicking everyone else’s ass.
White
Fucking cricket stroke: Dickerson hits a ball on the bounce into short RCF and turns it into a double. I think that's probably a sign that I should go do something else.
This is just a "shit or get off the pot" shot over the Tampa Bay bow by the Rays with the blessings of MLB. It'll be an either/or, not both.
Sure, there are college players who would not embarrass themselves in AA, but the average to below average AA position player would be one of the top players on the best college teams, and the sheer pitching depth of an AA team would overwhelm college teams.
Duh. Maybe elite clubs are but nothing higher than this.
This time last year, everything you said about Tucker was how he was special. Then he struggled and now everytime you talk about him is in reference to trading him. Is that not considering him a failure? If you're just hoping to trade him, kind of a failure for a guy who had star potential.
This. The new guys are not merely filling in. They are contributing and establishing trade value.
Not hotels, mind you. I'd never be so crass as to defile the GZ in that way.
Yordan Alvarez For Josh Fields Trade Threatens To Top Astros’ Jeff Bagwell Steal
I wasn’t sure the kid would want to report after listening to Lance. “Your best days are behind you. Good luck buddy”
Really? Roky Erickson dies, not a peep. But Bushwick Bill...
That's ridiculous. Those seats were in Chicago.
What was Crane thinking when he hired him? What has he ever done? I want McClane back!
I'm sitting behind the plate today - he's a big dude
NAILED IT.
9.5%
Yes, it's totally normal for a player to reject the QO (and other offers) and not sign until mid June.
Who in the world were they playing?
Get out.
Seattle is a good town to catch an Astros game. I'm gonna take a Northern trip late this summer. Might go to Seattle or more likely, Toronto. Any hotel recs?
I tend to agree. He’s real valuable, but who would you drop? White, Kemp, pitcher?
And, often, your kids are the ones who divert your attention from the game and thus protecting them from sharply hit foul balls, compounding the risk of the situation.
Fuck off, douche bag.
Conference fandom is one of the strangest things about college sports. You'll see plenty of trucks sporting around with an "SEC" sticker but I simply can't bring myself to root for the AL West on pure principle.
