If the Yankees get him, there needs to be a fucking investigation. I am sick of this.

Yanks and Boston are both hot after him, last I read. A large part of it is to keep the other one from getting him.
-
I think the Dodgers step up and get him before all is said and done.

That won’t change the fact that they’ll have to pitch Sonny Gray in the postseason.

Close to a deal, Nightengale says Dodgers, Kurkjian thinks Philly.

Astros close out with 4 games against the Orioles. Feels like the Orioles are hardly going to be fielding a major league team by that point. And the 3 games before are against the Blue Jays.
Yankees end the season with 4 against Tampa and 3 against Boston.
Boston ends the season with the Orioles and Yankees.
If home field advantage comes down to the final weeks, I like the Astros chances.

I’m reminded of one of my favorite baseball quotations—from a NYT article about the Mets one of those years in the late aughts when they blew a healthy lead in September and missed the playoffs entirely. A fan, leaving the ballpark, said: “It makes you feel so stupid for being happy all year.”

So this. The BBGs are watching.

In a completely shocking development, the Orioles are apparently getting cold feet due to physicals in one of the prospects.

So maybe I, once again, should not get excited about Zach Britton?

Only if you like disappointment.

Is it ownership or the front office, or all of the above?

To the Dodgers for 5 players according to Rosenthal.

Trade is official. The return to the Orioles per Passan on Twitter:
The return to the Orioles for Manny Machado: OF Yusniel Diaz, 3B Rylan Bannon, RHP Dean Kremer, RHP Zach Pop and 2B Breyvic Valera.
Diaz is the only top-100 type. Kremer could be a dude. Bannon undersized 3B crushing in Cal League. Pop is a reliever, Valera 26-year-old in AAA.
