Always a bunch of mixed emotions when the end of a season draws near . . .

Thanks, strosrays.  You may not think 2011 was up to snuff, but I, for one, wholeheartedly disagree.  I'm glad you enjoy writing them as much as I enjoy reading them.  I usually have "Ohhhh...what a beautiful buzz, what a beautiful buzz" going through my head afterwards.

And if you aren't "allowed" to write Previews next year, some admin will have a riot on their hands.

Yeah, what Ebby said. Thanks for opening up so much, putting so much care and effort into it, and always making me stop and ponder. It's really a pleasure and an honor to read your writing, and I hope you always have an outlet.

I like watching tv preachers and listening to them on the radio. I guess we both have too much time on our hands or something.

I dated a girl with sound-taste synesthesia.  Words and sounds had a "taste" to her.  My named tasted like freshly steamed broccoli.  Therein lies the "ex" in "ex-girlfriend", I suppose.

I would guess that with another five or ten years of hindsight her story will begin to "smell" like "bullshit" to you.

Thanks, strosrays.  Food for the mind.  I'm sorry you're having a shitty 2011 as far as your personal life, but your previews are as good as ever!  Throw us a bone and write something in the off-season as well!

Supposedly, Nabokov was a synesthetic as well.  I read some article where he and his synesthetic mother would argue about the true colors of numbers.
