A bust in Florida has netted a bunch of doctors who were proscribing steroids and HGH to pro-athletes. Gary Matthews Jr. is named specifically, but it is expected that many more players will be exposed.
No word yet as to how Gary Sheffield is going to spin this into him being victimised by the media/MLB/police etc.

They're drinking Pearl Light and having a circle jerk at the Arlington front office right now.

When aren't they drinking Pearl Light and having a circle jerk in Arlington? They sure as hell aren't putting together winning baseball teams.

Seeing the name of GMJr should scare the hell out of teams (Astros included) that just dumped millions into a long term deal with Player X. Which begs the question: Does anyone know if recent contracts include "use of illegal performance enhancing drugs" such as HGH or steriods as grounds for breach of contract?

Are you kidding? MLB poo-pooed Bonds' new contract because it stated that the Jints weren't going to pay him if couldn't play because he was in jail!

Nice, the Owners better get their shit together and stand their ground. If not, fine, but I better not hear any whining about it later when they get burned.

Plaese reference "Caption This" for the likelihood that El Caballo is on juice.

Bonds and Mathews and those guys are bad enough, but if the high school coaches mentioned in the article were purchasing steroids, testosterone and HGH in order to later distribute the stuff to their players, I think I would like to see them in the feds' crosshairs first.

"In New York, investigators have interviewed numerous suspected steroids buyers, including physicians who prescribed or bought large quantities, an Albany narcotics detective, a top Mr. Olympia bodybuilder and the host of a popular cable television program, sources said.
Nancy Grace. Has to be.

Bill O'Reilly. He got jealous of Limbaugh's painkiller publicity.

Bingo. You don't get that kind of wild-eyed, batshit crazy rage without steroids. Did I say rage? I meant enthusiasm. Enthusiasm for the truth. Please don't hit me, Nancy.

Performance Enhancing Pancakes.
The Astros braintrust is brilliant, having insulated their long-term investments by giving lengthy contracts only to fat guys and miniature pitchers.

Shocking!

I say it's this guy.

Somewhat ironic that MLB.com chooses today to post a new article about "Little Sarge."

The first line is especially hilarious: "Gary Matthews Jr. is at peace."
I wonder if at any point in his life, Gary Matthews Jr. has been LESS at peace than today.

I choose to blindly believe that mine is the only virtuous team remaining. Conveniently, this allows me to send a big Fuck You to the heathens when we win and justify losses as the result of a corrupt game rather than an 0-5 from Ensberg.
As long as King Hippo reigns at first, I feel justified in this belief.

Fine by me. Find out everybody that is taking them and kick them out so baseball can be played the way its supposed to be. Or at least the way I like it.
I'm just wondering when the George Mitchell's of the world are gonna figure out that deep down the powers in baseball knew/know that steroids are being used but don't/didn't really care. It's all box office, baby.

Rocky Cheated!
Damnit! I always thought his win over Tommy Gun was suspect.
