The worst was this, which I heard in a TV biography of Tanya Tucker: "Tanya Tucker literally grew up in a fish bowl."

Carlos Lee, Brahman Cows, and the Hellish Isolation of Modern Life
by Gregor Samsa, special to the Houston Chronicle
PANAMA- One morning, as new Astros LF Carlos Lee was waking up from anxious dreams at 6 am to check on one of his ranches...
-
The one thing I took from that heap was that Carlos Lee is an intelligent, passionate, and capable, professional rancher. He is willing to put the effort into overseeing that he is a success in that realm. If those traits carry over to professional baseball player, my irrational paranoid fan fear of him getting fat and lazy now that he's got the big contract, is somewhat assuaged.
