Title: Trade rumor update...

Jason Stark says his sources tell him that Houston's interest in Tejada is now minimal at best.  He says Baltimore was asking for Everett, Nieve and Pence...but that Houston backed away.

Stark also says that his sources would be suprised to see Ensberg moved.

Damn.  I was really looking forward to cleaning out our minors for one SS.

Especially, since we're just one Miguel-Tejada-away from automatic World Champs.

Well, dammit, Jim!  Get on the phone and let them know what else we've got.  

This is MIGUEL TEJADA.  He's got a WS ring for each finger, if I remember.

hush now all of you. this secret might get out and other teams might steal the astros master plan. someone plant a subtrfuge and talk about the return of tim redding or jd comming out of retirement to test the free agency market

There never was a "deal".  I've been watching the Baltimore press and there's not one article says anything about Houston.  The only reason this Tejada thing had any legs at all is because Pinwheel and his little tea party, Phil Rogers as Patty Pretty Pants, needed something to write about and hang their commentary on.

I am having a strong feeling that the Astros are not going to make any moves this year (involving teams not already affiliated with the Astros).

But then it could be just hunger pains too...
