Once again you are talking out of both sides of your face. Last night on ESPN's draft review, they showed a quote from you using the word "stupidity" about drafting Williams over Bush... But to turn around and say on your blog that the Texans really had a good day... Come on, everyone knows you are notorious for trying to have it both ways in that you blast all of our teams and then turn around and kiss up to try to keep your relationship with the teams amenable. However you have really played both sides of the fence on this one to the point of being ridiculous and not credible.
Notorious? Bonny and Clyde were notorious. Al Capone was notorious. Me, I'm a sportswriter.

....First you go into Drayton for not offering Clemens arbitration and then praise them. Ausmus won't speak to you and now Casserly. Can you blame them? You get angry and write some off the cuff column that embarasses them in the paper and then when they won't speak to you, you try to save face. I normally enjoy your columns, but I have to agree with the flip flop comment on this one.
I have to say your tone is a little mean. I'm going to let you get in this one time, but you better be on your best behavior next time around.
.....
When you write critical stuff about people, they sometimes get mad. That's life. I get mad when I'm ripped on this blog, but I also understand that's life in the big city.
What makes you think Ausmus won't speak to me? He loves me. I'm his best friend now that Bagwell is gone.
I'm pretty sure he's going to invite me to his house for Thanksgiving. I won't be able to go because I don't socialize with ball players.

Bloggers and some of the numbers geeks are letting Joe Torre have it in New York. Bloggers and numbers geeks aren't very smart.

Translation, "mean"= exposes my faulty logic and factual errors in declarative, direct, and well researched sentences. "bloggers...aren't very smart"= threatens the jobs of opinion columnists (but not fact gathering reporters). By the way, is he responding to anyone we know?

Are you hinting? No, I can't find the original blog reply so I don't know for sure.

Nah. Don't know who this Dave in DC is. Hope he's not one of us and has independently verified what a Pinwheel this guy is.

As does our weather man das.

To quote Shaggy, it wasn't me. I live in Northern VA, and I usually only say I'm from DC if I'm talking to someone who doesn't know what a Virginia is.

Weren't me although I like the way the guy thinks. "d" in "das" does stand for David though. And I do work in DC. Likely, there is a few of us though. All time record was 6 David's in a 30 kid class. I felt so marginalized...
Completely unrelated, there's a peregrine falcon on top of the Washington Post building. He's taken 2 pigeons in the last hour. It's pretty cool. Slow day here at work. 8 hours until the Astros game.

[hijack] About a week or so ago I watch the tables turned. A purple martin chased off a sparrow hawk that lighted up on a street lamp in front of the house. It was mildly humorous watching the martin dive bomb the hawk until it finally vacated. [/hijack]

Well I see he finally responded to one of my comments. I wrote that one a couple of days ago. I figured he would ignore that one

Sorry, I let the secret out... He just pissed me off about the draft. I agreed with him on the texans and then he does a complete 180 a couple of days later because Mel Kyper said so. What a puss. Also, I see he got mad about the Ausmus comment. He is the one who said in a previous column that Ausmus wont speak to him. I just used his own comments to make a point. I guess I hit a nerve.
Update: I just moved to DC or Wahington Park MD on Monday. The wife and kids are still in Nebraska butI had to take a job here at DIA and move quickly. For all you DC folks, I went to the Old Ebbitt Grill last night. Nice place, what are some other places like that around the capital area. I want to impress the wife when she comes out. Apparently I cant do that on my own.

Good one. I don't know why Pinwheel even has a blog. Did he hear all the cool kids have one? Does he expect people to just pat him on the back? It's a mystery.

He heard that bloggers don't have to be very smart, so he thought it would be a slam dunk.

Shit, EVERYBODY at the Chronicle has a blog now. It's ridiculous. And what ticks me off is about the only one that could be useful (the Chronicle's reader rep) is never updated. Never.

Yeah, but there's a bunch of them. And if only 3% have any smarts he could be in for a rough time.
