Title: One "good" thing about it being over in 4...
Post by: ASTROCREEP on October 27, 2005, 10:57:17 am
now the bandwagonners start to jump off!

I'm sick of hearing, "Why did they bring in Brad Lidge"?
"Why didn't they pinch hit for Ensberg?" And it's GARNER
NOT Gardner!

Why does PETTITTE have so many T's in his name???
Oh, that was me.

this is a legitimate question, bandwagonner or not. mo was about as cold as can be for the NLCS and world series.

Well I disagree, but it was more about the tone, "Brade Lidge", "Ensberg", as if they were scrubs, obvious
most of the Houston bandwagonners hadn't watched a game
all year, until game 6 against ST. Louie

I posted yesterday that Mo should maybe get moved down the order.  No matter as the horse had already bolted, but it wasn't Rockitte science to come up with the White Sox plan to pitch around Berkman.

This team rode its luck and its pitching, but ultimately came up against a team who could match its pitching and hit better.  None of the previous opponents could best the Astros in both categories at the same time.

My Dad said to me last night, "what does it say to you that the other team intentionally walks the winning run in the 8th inning of the World Series so they can pitch to your clean-up hitter?"

It says that Mo is going to have a loooooong winter.

I was so pissed after his putrid AB's in the first and fourth that were I Scraps I would have not allowed him to leave the dugout and take the field in the top of the 5th- Bruntlett or Viz would have replaced him.

Just a plethora of horrible AB's for the guys whose play the left side of the infield.

It will be a long winter for Moberg and interesting to see what develops re- contract and extension talks

Means you don't have a clean-up hitter.

If he stops SCREWING with his damn stance he'll be fine.

I hated it when Derek Bell did it too. (He'd change his stance with 2 strikes)

It means that Ensberg was the most deserving MVP of the series for the White Sox

Another good thing is that Big & Rich will have one less performance.

Thank God for small miracles.

Amen.

Also, I was lucky enough to see John Secada sing in the NLCS (maybe NLDS) and the World Series. Amazingly, he had greatly 'improved' his performance the second time around.

He really sucked.

Yeah I don't think the Sox walk Berkman with a Dunn coming up next. And if Mo duplicates what he did last year, how
good would it be to have him bat 6th, like he should.

Even with another bat I don't think Moberg hits 6th- I'd go 5th or 2nd before 6th I think. I like Lane 6th.
