I think it's accepted practice, almost expected today, that the winners taunt.  Complaining about it will mark you as out of fashion.

That's some serious BBG taunting, right there.

I thought they were calling for a grand slam.  They started it after Zeke loaded the bases.

Just a comment...I don't think it's possible for me to dislike a player more than I dislike Pierzynski.

Screw fashion....that's what has turned so many away from sports in general...lack of class and dignity....Thankfully the Astros have shown class for a long time now...thanks to Bags and Bigg and many others...that's why I am proud to be an AstroNut...so let's go get 4...and shut these motherfuckers up !

No, Blum started it as he was slapping hands after his HR.  Gamesmanship.  It's chickenshit, but that's how guys are these days.  Sportsmanship is rare in professional sports.

Class and dignity? How many people you think would recognize that?  It don't pay.

I thought that was when Widger was batting. For some reason I just figured they were doing a "W."

I recognize it, and my children recognize it....and it pays...it pays for a lifetime.

It helps one go to sleep at night...knowing that they have self-respect. I long for a World Series Championship for this Astro team, maybe a walk off by Bags...and then send a big FUCK YOU out to all those who don't repect others or themselves.

I think you're mistaken. People who don't know what you're talking about sleep just fine.  As for needing anything more from Bagwell to redeem the value of dignity, I don't think that's necessary.

I'm with you, and between that cocksucker AJ being an all around dick, and C4 being C4, and Crede's jaw-fest down the first base line, and Blum/et al's four finger gesture, it just makes me love the Astros even more, win or lose.

This is from Dave Goldsmith...from an e-mail I just received...a clarification of Blum and others holding up the 4 fingers...

"Couldnt post to your message board, but I thought i would clarify.  The four fingers they were holding up after Blum hit his homer, had nothing to do with the sweep or anything disrespectful to the Astros, baseball or their fans.  It represented "the fourth group"  Which is what the WhiteSox bench players call themselves.  During batting practice, the 4th group of hitters get the fewest at bats and are generally the bottom of the totem pole.  They have been insulted by the chicago media calling them scrubs etc.  So they took to calling themselves the 4th group...   As in " the fourth group is going to win it tonight"  Blum, Willie Harris, Chris Widger Timo Perez and Pablo Ozuna..."

My apologies....

Now that we know what the 4 was for, I also hope he had some family behind thier dugout somehwere...and we was blowing them the kiss as he was walking off the field...I hope.

bullshit on that explination.  "4" stand for the dollar amount that Bluhm spends to get his haircut.    From the looks of it, he is getting ripped off.   Seriously, he looks like an 8 year old, what a complete tool.
