Title: Fuck Having To Play the ChiSox

We have to listen to Buck, McCarver, and Piniella for a week.

Can some nice person in here instruct me on how to get ESPN radio in a city that is 600 miles from the nearest ESPN radio station?

I can't listen to my first World Series be narrated to me by Buck and McCarver.

I will pay Scully myself to sit in my living room and tell me what's going on.

XM radio.

The MLB channel is actually almost listenable 45% of the time.  For the world serious, you'll have broadcasts from both teams and from ESPN.

I'm not sure if ESPN 790am here in Houston is carrying the WS (I think they are), but they offer live streaming on their website.

Oh thank god.

I'm serious.  It should be illegal EVERY year to have those guys doing the game on national TV, but especially when WE finally make it.

I would almost kill another human being if it meant we could have Vin call the Series.

I love XM.  But...

WHY DO THEY NEED XM?.  THEY ARE AT THE GAME.

Not to mention, most of 'em bought tickets for hundreds of dollars.  A Roady (which I have) costs $50.

It's presumably so all those people who have bothered to pay $$ for the tickets will go back home, redeem their coupon, and then pay the bucks for an XM subscription to get ready for next year's season.

No where yet.

But I've noticed something, not surprising.

More than 50% of the tickets that exist for the WS are in the hands of resellers.  We went ahead and borrowed some rapid rewards tix from my mom to fly in and got a hotel.  I'll bring a few thou in cash and just see what we can find.

I'll stand if I have to.  I'll listen from the urinals if I have to.

Keep an eye on Ebay. Put some auctions in your watch list and get a feel for the 'going rate'. I am pretty sure you will see a significant reduction in price the day before the game(s).

Listening to them has nothing to do with the White Sox, it'd be the same if it was the Angels. Or does your title imply you didn't want to get in the Series?  

I personally don't think Piniella will be in the booth for the WS
