When Lane was on 3rd and Ausmus at second, anyone else think about a squeeze?
Am I an idiot for thinking it could have worked with Everett at bat?
And what happened on Lane's slide at the plate?

Adam had a terrible AB. In hindsite, a squeeze might have worked.
Lane was out, he slid right into the glove. His spike caught the dirt right before the plate.

Everett's been swinging well so I'd let him hit. Two runs are better than one. You at least hope that Everett would hit one to the OF or to the right side. But he couldn't do anything. He as pretty worthless that AB.
As far as Lane, it really wasn't that close. Has anybody noticed that Lane is one slide shy of the cycle? All he needs is to take out Pujols on a close play at first.

I was thinking the squeeze with AB, then Andy was bunting. Couldn't figure it out.
Can Lane slide?

Maybe he is a dirty player. At least he has been getting on base.

Lane? Dirty? Nah. He's in the right place at the right time.

The diving catches are the only reason Lane is dirty. He's a grinder.
