Wow guys...what a day....what a game...and more importantly, what a win!!!
So, which moment is sweeter...Kent's walk off homer in 2004, or today's win. I know Kent's walk off put us closer to the WS, but today's win was even sweeter IMO. I mean, the greatest playoff game of all time, and we actually frick'n won it. So much I could to pour on top of the game too, just too much to go into now.
Wow, dead tired...and am damn glad I don't have to make it out to another game at the Ted tomorrow night. Anyhow, had to get a post in...Go Stros!!!

Without question. Longest game in playoff history. Two Grand Slams, game tying HR with 2 down in the 9th, 9 innings of shutout extra inning baseball, walk off HR by the the brick and sand messiah.

i am just drained. Girlfriend and i got there at 9:30 to scalp tickets. got two tix for 50 a piece, 413, row 4. Really good seats. I am completly drained, what a fucking game. Greatest Bullpen perfomrance EVER!
13.3 innings, ZERO RUNS. W

Just got home to Austin from "THE GAME." Only got 3 hours sleep last night. Got to MMP at 9:30AM. Saw the greatest Astro game ever. The crowd was outstanding. Best last minute decision I've ever made. I should be worn out but I'm still wired high on adrenalin... and caffine. Yee Haw!!! Yaa Hoo!

Definitely today. 3 dramatic HR's rather than one. Plus the hole they crawled out of.

Today. I was at both, and while both were sweet, there is no sporting event I've ever attended where I felt like every at bat was important for 6 hours! All position players used, all pitchers used, the damn Braves NEVER switching out their 1-8 lineup. Today was the best game in Astros history (and one of the best games of all time).

I was at both games, and have spent the last few hours trying to categorize them in my mind. The answer. . . there's no point. They were both amazing, and the feeling at both games was entirely different. I wouldn't trade being at either one for anything. I can't try and compare, they were both the greatest moments of my life.
One thing for today, though, it was awesome to see the good guys celebrating on their own field for the first time ever. What a great feeling.

this one. no doubt rookie homer, clemens redemption..the look on the braves face when the hr went out of the park was so priceless..the fact that the m onkey of never winning a playoff series was off their back and they believed and kept plugging instead of going quietly into that playoff night.. can you imagine having to play another game today after the one on sunday (or two depeending on how you look at it)

Jim: They are definitely legit. And the pain they've suffered is off the chart
Eric: Yeah, to me, with Burke hitting the home run, and Jose Cruz and Phil Garner among those greeting them, this is a mighty special afternoon, and not just in Houston.
David: You're right; maybe I'm underselling the Astros and Mr. Burke. And Jim's right, their suffering is too often ignored by baseball fans and media. This game, henceforth, shall be known as the Chris Burke Game.

For "us" (meaning my family) it is definitely THIS one.
The last time we were all together was that 16 hour evacuation ordeal up US59... now we attended longest playoff game in history together.
Throw in the fact that my wife had on her Berkman jersey AND my daughter was wearing her Ausmus T-Shirt make it..... well..... (insert understatement of the year) very "special".
