No Yordan. Hinch talked about his struggles yesterday, and Blum has talked about it too. One of the things Hinch mentioned was fouling off hittable pitches. Maybe they are working on his swing path.

Greinke getting a lot of hard hit balls off him.

Bregman should have stepped out before that GIDP.  The pitcher stalled him and he got anxious.

He does not appear to be fooling anyone.

As Thames smacks a monster 3-run HR  4-1 Brewers

Yep, this is not quite the Greinke I expected.

Bats gotta get after it.

Prior to this game Greinke was the only astro in the lineup with a hit against Lyles. Hope Greinke turns it around and gets a few more at bats.

The changeup he threw to Grandal was bad.  The one he threw to Thames was pitiful.  Whatever the reason, he's simply not hitting spots and not fooling hitters.

I just looked at his game log and he's been quite a bit worse so far as an Astro. This does not fit the generally accepted narrative.

They've had some good swings against Lyles.  Just need to stay patient and string a few together.  Gotta chip away now.

It meets the articles I have read. The bats have bailed him out to make him 4-0. He certainly has been worse than I thought he would be. For whatever reason, he has not pitched like an ace.

Bad luck on Grandal’s foul ball. He is pitching down the middle; bad plan at 88-89.

Yeah, he should have had Grandal struck out on that foul tip. Credit to Grandal for staying alive. Then Braun fisted that ball out into CF. Those were kind of bad luck, but the Thames HR was just a bad pitch.

I meant the narrative of pitchers improving upon joining the Astros.

Cart on the field to get Springer.  He's sitting up, so that's good, but that looked bad.

Leadoff double in the 6th...Bregman lets that throw travel and they get him.  He reached out a bit for it.

One terrible pitch with two on.

Greinke has some work to do to keep up with the other two aces. That may be a good thing.

Hit the wall hard, but slide his hand out of the glove w/ the ball in it - 3rd out!!!!

Two games in a row Greinke has had trouble closing innings. Lots of two out damage-all four runs tonight.

I believe the last 10 runs he's allowed have been with 2 outs.

Yeah, it was at the ankles. Strike zone was a mess all night. Pretty typical for these days.

One bad pitch or we win 2-1. Greinke must work harder to close out innings.
