Springer walks, Altuve singles, and Bregman delivers the SF.
Alvarez then drives one to the LCF wall, caught against the scoreboard, but for reasons I’m not even sure he can explain, Altuve is already halfway to third and is doubled off first easily.

Tuves ran past the bag at 2nd on his way back to 1B and had to go back and touch it
-
Radio said Altuve missed second on his way back, had to backtrack.
Who wants innings to drag on anyways?
-
Bregman and Yordan both missed HRs by a couple of feet.
-
Drury tagged out on the shortest batted ball ever.
(May have hit him in the box but HPU didn't call it that way)
-
2 out walk followed by an IF hit (could have been E6).
Fisher up.
-
Framber has lost the zone completely. He finally has bring a get-me-over ball into the middle of the zone and Grichuk hammers it for an RBI single. Fortunately, Vladdy Jr. tries to go 1st-to-3rd in front of Reddick and gets thrown at at 3rd.
-
Two walk, single ties the game.
-
Valadez issued 1 out walks to Biggio and Guerrero.
Biggio took strike 3 for ball 3.
Single to left plated Biggio, Jr thrown out at 3rd.
2 out runner on 2nd.
-
Dammit.
Hernandez unties it.
-
Walks will get you in trouble faster than anything.
-
What an awful curveball. "Hit me!" And Teoscar did.
-
Freaking walks.
-
What an awful curveball. "Hit me!" And Teoscar did.
Same curve he has thrown all day. Big curve, bad location.
Walks.
-
Inning mercifully over. Could have been worse without Jr's poor baserunning decision.
-
Bregman walks.
-
Come on, Yordan.
-
Come on, Yordan.
He seems to be getting into pitchers' counts a lot these days.
-
Another 1st pitch inning ending 1-6-3 dp.
-

Yep
-
Another 1st pitch inning ending 1-6-3 dp.
Toro is too anxious. He is not waiting for something he can drive.
-
Well shit.
-
Ugh.
-
FB right down the fucking middle of the plate.
-
Framber seems much more under control today. So he gives up homers.
-
Correction: apparently that was an 89 mph, straight as an arrow changeup that Biggio demolished.
-
FB right down the fucking middle of the plate.
Quite literally.
-
Time for the offense to amp it up.
-
Somebody sit on the offspeed stuff Bucholz has been throwing.
-

Up
-
Buchholz is trying to help us out, it would be gracious to accept his gifts.
-
Got Machete twice on changeups.
-
Love those double plays.
-
4 leadoff walks = 4 DPs is hard to do
-
Holy crap.
-
Up
On a freaking tee.
Good to see Jake getting into the theme of the game.
-
Four inning ending double plays in five innings. Historic.
-
Haha, joke's on them: now they can't get a double play.
-

Idiots.
-
2 on 2 out for Yuli.
-
2 rbi double for La Piña!
-
Yuli doing Yuli things! Helped out by Fisher playing the ball kind of questionably.
-
Toro needs to take a deep breath at the plate.
-
Yeah, a single there would have been very big.
-
Toro needs to take a deep breath at the plate.
Tell him if he doesn't calm the hell down he doesn't get to go to Tim Horton's after the game.
-
Gotta love those 2-out RBIs.
-
Reddick with a lead-off single in the top of the 7th. Nice to see him starting to hit again.
-
Ok, Jake, time to do something useful. And for God's sake, don't hit into a double play.
-

Good to see more hits for Josh.
-
Bases loaded for Altuve. Let's hope it's patient/selective Altuve.

Negative.
-
Negative.
So frustrating.
-
Bases-loaded walk for Bregman cuts the lead to 6-4. Jays bringing in a lefty to face Yordan.
-
Walk makes it 6-4.
Still loaded for Alvarez.
-
Oh, shit, Yordan had a curve to destroy there and fouled it off.
-
Swing the bat!!!!
-
Yordan Ensbergs another strike three.
-
Good grief, Yordan.
-

Sort of his life. Fouls
-
He has gone from chasing down to not looking down.
-
Good grief, Yordan.
It's not like that was out on the edge or something. That's a strike, and he needs to defend against it.
-

He needs to drive that shit.
-
One of our tasks is to get Smith back into form.
-
He has gone from chasing down to not looking down.
His ABs lately suck. That one was horrible.
-
That HBP looked intentional, but I can't think of why they'd do that.
-
Toro completes his awful day at the plate appropriately.
-
How can a team of hitters like the Astros have 9 walks and only 4 runs?

Really wish you hadn't asked that.
-
2 on, Brantley hits for Machete.
-
Aaaaaaarrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
-
3-1 FB popped up on the infield. Crap on a stick.
Now it's up to Diaz (hitting for Jake).
-
If Michael Fucking Brantley has the yips now, this is going to be a long week.
-
Jeez, I forgot about the HBP. So they have flat-out *given* us 10 baserunners.
-
FUCKBALLS!!
-
Leave the high FB alone. Hit the low FB.
-
Jeez, I forgot about the HBP. So they have flat-out *given* us 10 baserunners.
Just like that they've flipped back into a raging team slump like during the White Sox and A's series.
Their entire offense at the moment is the other team stepping on its dick.
-
That dude was begging to be scored on.
Good grief.
-
Sneed says "hey, fuckers, this is how it's done."
-
Nice outing from Sneed.
-
Springer sticks to his guns, goes to one knee trying to hit a 3 run leadoff homer.

Hey, someday it'll happen!
-
What a disappointing game. I hope tomorrow turns out better.
-
What a shitty game.
-
Who is this Giles guy?
-
And Giles strikes out the side to end it. Threw hanging Sliders right down the center of the plate for strike three on all of them.
-

Good grief, man. Chill.
-
Good grief, man. Chill.
The last week theyve scored 11,15, 8, 8, 7, and 4. Anyone who thinks this offense is slumping simply hasn't been paying attention.

In medieval times the “spleen” was “vented” in order to reduce anger. I’ve always thought that’s the origin of his moniker.

I may be wrong (I often am), but I think he's the poster formerly known as "Roger Cedeno's Spleen", christened when MMPUS opened with the flagpole in CF and Roger Cedeno out there running "interesting" routes to the ball. I always thought that was one of the funniest names on here.

Talking about the last 2-3 days, not a whole week. They should have scored much more with the 3,876 walks they've gotten, including multiple runs walked in. They also fell very quickly into a slump from a hot streak after Baltimore. But it's just a stretch of shitty baseball (that I'm venting about), and it will pass. The bullpen and injuries are still the real concern.
Yes, I used to be 'Roger Cedeno's Spleen.'
-
I amused myself back then imagining that Roger Cedeño was Cesar's alter ego when he wanted to move around incognito.

That's like m saying, yes I know you were 3 for 4 with two home runs and five runs batted in, but you grounded out in the 8th inning...you're in a slump.
