Tigers look absolutely disinterested
4-1 on a Yuli double that was crushed to center, but misplayed followed by an error in left that him to score.

Every time I see this comment I think of that time he halted a footfirst slide into second by grabbing the base behind his back and someone here noted that what he'd just done "would have broken every bone in my back" or something along those lines and I think, Shit.

Nope. Volume going down in 3, 2, 1 . . .

Swinging bunt for Altuve.

Pitcher fielded it,  patted the ball and threw.   No way he was getting Altuve after the pat.

No, I haven't tried that.

Yellow cat bait, they don't eat dead stuff (predators not scavengers), but you can catch anything on them too.  Get a perch trap and catch them in the river or in any stock tank you have access to.  Hook them through the tail end on a throw line or limb line or trot line or fishing pole.

That got uncomfortable,  especially after Altuve's error.

Let's see what Yordan does- 2 out 2 on.

He does radio play by play for UH football games and is much better than he is on TV. Maybe I appreciate him because his crutch is to constantly mention the score, which many radio guys forget to do.

Baseball pbp announcers benefit from knowing the right pace and by having a certain range in that covers everything from a routine grounder to a gapper that culminates in a play at the plate.  Frankly people with lower pitched voices do it better.

KE doesn't have that.   It doesn't detract from his studio work, they're just 2 different jobs.

In football,  I never liked Mike Tirico as a pbp man.  He's good at just about everything else,  but not that even though he hits all the technical marks.

The main problem I have with KE is that he just doesn't shut up. He blabbers on about mostly unimportant details and stats, and then ends up either stepping on himself when something exciting happens or stepping on Blum when he's trying to wrangle KE back in.

With him and Stanton, they at least have a decent working understanding of each other, but KE's voice and pace on the studio broadcast is even more grating than his PBP voice. I tend to keep the remote handy when half innings end so I can quickly mute out if they're kicking it back to the studio.
