Just caught a catfish. Hope it helps.

Yordan doubled in a run

Yellow?

Tigers look absolutely disinterested
4-1 on a Yuli double that was crushed to center, but misplayed followed by an error in left that him to score.
-
End 1, 4-1 Astros. Cubans with 3 RBI.
-
Correa has been pulled.

Correa out. No word yet.
-
And Correa out of the game ugh.
-
That's not good.
He struck out swinging in the first. Didn't notice anything.

Well, he's made of glass, so it could be anything.
-
Yellow?
Channel. On a minnow.

Every time I see this comment I think of that time he halted a footfirst slide into second by grabbing the base behind his back and someone here noted that what he'd just done "would have broken every bone in my back" or something along those lines and I think, Shit.
-

He seems so fragile.
-
KE on pbp instead of TK.
Blum doing color. Will that be enough?
Nope. Volume going down in 3, 2, 1 . . .
-
Swinging bunt for Altuve.
Pitcher fielded it, patted the ball and threw. No way he was getting Altuve after the pat.
-
Was Loel Passe better than Kevin Eichenfelder?

You ever bait lines with live perch?
-
Was Loel Passe better than Kevin Eichenfelder?
I believe that question is why god invented the Worrell button.

Correa afflicted with the dreaded back “discomfort”

No, I haven't tried that.

I guess we'll see him next spring.
-
Wow.
Just seeing Zambrano's face made me want to puke.
-
Nice job by Chirinos to get Altuve home.
-
Miley out after giving up a two-out solo HR followed by a single. Rondon in.
-
No, I haven't tried that.
Yellow cat bait, they don't eat dead stuff (predators not scavengers), but you can catch anything on them too. Get a perch trap and catch them in the river or in any stock tank you have access to. Hook them through the tail end on a throw line or limb line or trot line or fishing pole.
-
Rondon got out of the inning.
5-3 Astros

That got uncomfortable, especially after Altuve's error.
Let's see what Yordan does- 2 out 2 on.

Hate wasting that chance to get at least a run back.
-
You keep dicking around and leaving runners on base, you're gonna lose the game.
-
5-4 now, Tigers with tying run on base, nobody out.
-

Yep. Yordan leaves a lot of runners on.

This.

For all the stuff Rondon has, he sure perplexes me.

Fast ball is straight, but me too.

Whew.

Nearly a shiftfuck

All Eschenfelder does is recite numbers.
-
2 out walk in the 8th.
To the 9 hole hitter.
-
Freaking broken bat single to right.
Chunk of the bat almost made it to infield dirt.
1st/3rd 2 outs.
-
BIG strikeout from Harris.
Don't think I've ever seen him show emotion like that.
-
Man, Harris toughed it thru that inning.
-
One stressful inning there.
-
Lots of soft contact hits in the last week or so.

He did not have his best stuff. Cut fastball was consistently down and to the left.

Mayfield has looked overmatched all nite.

Must not have been paying attention.

One to center, one to right. 2 Ks.

Maybe they're showcasing Eschenfelder because they think they can move him over the offseason.
-
1 out double.
-
Grounder to short.
2 outs, runner to 3rd.
-
Swinging K, Astros win.
Fortunate. They played with their food all night.

Studio host to be named later?

He does radio play by play for UH football games and is much better than he is on TV. Maybe I appreciate him because his crutch is to constantly mention the score, which many radio guys forget to do.

Funny, but apt, way to put it.

Baseball pbp announcers benefit from knowing the right pace and by having a certain range in that covers everything from a routine grounder to a gapper that culminates in a play at the plate. Frankly people with lower pitched voices do it better.
KE doesn't have that. It doesn't detract from his studio work, they're just 2 different jobs.
In football, I never liked Mike Tirico as a pbp man. He's good at just about everything else, but not that even though he hits all the technical marks.

The main problem I have with KE is that he just doesn't shut up. He blabbers on about mostly unimportant details and stats, and then ends up either stepping on himself when something exciting happens or stepping on Blum when he's trying to wrangle KE back in.
With him and Stanton, they at least have a decent working understanding of each other, but KE's voice and pace on the studio broadcast is even more grating than his PBP voice. I tend to keep the remote handy when half innings end so I can quickly mute out if they're kicking it back to the studio.

He's actually strong as an ox. That may be the problem. Too many muscles to pull.

Blum is so good at color, he makes Kalas better. I really like that duo.
