Cole’s missing the zone a bit but he hit Story’s bat for a monstrous solo dinger.

Berkman is the world’s greatest expert on pitching.

He's still befuddled as to why he didn't get the Rice coaching gig.

7 RBI in 3 PAs in 4 innings.

10 RBI in his last 10 innings.

Yuli is smoking it.

Is he the other with 8 in a game?

Yes. He had 8 rbi as a September call up in 2007 against the Coards.  He went 4-4 with 2 doubles a homer and a rbi hbp.

Bergman's swing is back.

Why didn’t Bregman score on Alvarez’ single? Was he holding the score down by stopping at third? Two outs so he should have scored easily.

I didn't see it so I'm speculating, but there have been plenty of times that Yordan has hit the ball so hard that the runner on second doesn't have a chance to score on a single.

Bergman's swing is back.

I watched a lot of Bergman back in the day, mostly because I had a crush on Liv Ullmann. I never thought of Bergman having much swing.

Nice bounce back inning from McHugh after last night.

He needs a bunch more of those.

Also humpday afternoon vaunting is fun.

Two outs. Why would he do that?

I watched most of it listening to music, then switched on the commentary right as Yuli came to the plate with a chance to set the record. Before I could change it to the radio guys, I heard Berkman say: "Well here we are at the precipice of history," and he sounded just like Butthead.

Huh. Don't know. Guess he either fucked up or was showing mercy.

Oh no sir, I assure you, that gloomy bastard could cut a rug. Rumor has it he was devastated when a freak editing room fire ruined a massive Busby Berkeley style choreographed piece he'd originally intended to open The Seventh Seal.

No way if he was running on the contact would he have not scored. If he was being merciful, he cost Álvarez an RBI.

Definitely encouraged by Bregman's performance at the plate in the past week and a half.

Last season he hit 51 doubles in 157 games (0.32/game).

This season he has 20 doubles in 110games (0.18/game).

3 of those 20 doubles have come in the month of August.
