Springer Dinger gives the Astros a 1-0 lead after 1.
Machete behind the plate.
-
Astros with gidp in 1st and 2nd innings.
The second one is under review . . . looks safe . . . umps agree.
Runner on 1st, 1 out for Reddick.
-
Josh hits into a 4-6-3 dp to keep the streak alive.
Mid 2
Springer 1, Cleveland 0
-
A single followed by a gapper at the wall for the Tribe, but lead runner is gunned down at the plate. Score it 7-6-2 on the put out at the plate.
Runner on 2nd, 2 outs for Perez.
-
So nice to have an arm like Correa at short

Strikeout (swinging, ball in dirt, 2-3) ends the 2nd.
Cole's first K.
Astros 1-0.

A thing of beauty.
Need to unload on this pitcher. He may have been good once, and might be in the future, but he’s trash tonight.

Booth got appropriately excited when the ball landed in his glove.

Second that motion.

And on the money. Maldy didn't even have to move his glove to apply the tag

Correa must have been sitting fastball 3-1, cause that was a cookie.

Yordan on 2nd after a double. 1 out.
Correa up 2-0, takes ball 3 for strike 1 (I guess it was close), then up/in for ball 3, then breaking ball is in for a strike; fouls off the first payoff pitch, K's swinging.
Yuli up.
-
Correa watches a cement mixer on the 3-1 pitch and winds up flailing at pitches out of the zone to ultimately strike out.

Pure BP pitch. Correa is still a guesser. He will never see a meatier pitch.

Yordan’s approach and power combination is like a velvet hammer.
Beautiful!
-
Yuli gets a 3-1 count, fouls off a pitch for 3-2, takes outside to walk.
1st/2nd, 2 outs for Reddick.
Conference on the mound . . .
-
Josh takes inside 1-0, fouls off a high curveball 1-1, then flares one into left that's caught.
Many baserunners but only 2 runs thus far for the Astros.
-
With the mustache, Reddick looks like a cross between Glenn Davis and Jeff Kent.

According to the twitter, Springer called him Ron Burgundy when Reddick donned a headset.

I hope Springer is an Astro his entire career.

Tribe testing the OF arms; 0 for 2 so far!!!

That wasn't even close. Great throw, great camera angle on the replay.

Great defense!

Great defense!
Reddick, knowing the situation (one out man on third) judged the flight perfectly and sprinted over to get in position to make the catch and throw.

What pitcher wouldn"t want to take the mound with these guys behind them!!!
-
How did Springer not get nailed by the line drive catch!
Excellent base running!

I am always annoyed and confused when we don't fuck up Clippard.

Other than his time as an Astro, when his ERA was over 6, he has been pretty good.
-
Fun to watch Correa throw a laser to 1B!!! A thing of beauty
-

Yeah, he's been OK. He's also had pretty bad stretches. And his stuff just always annoys and confuses me when we don't smack it around here and there.
Also he is duck-footed.
-
Um, Yuli, about those high pitches... Top of the zone? Ok. Chest high? Well, if you insist. Neck high? Please lay off.

I should not have said pretty good, should have said half-decent. He needs to get hit.
-
I don't think I've ever seen Reddick fooled that badly.
-
That looked like a foul to me.
-
Reddick ejected.
-
LOB - Astros 6, Indians just 2!
2-1
Runs, please!
-
I don't know, but ejecting a guy while he's walking away when he's likely got a legitimate beef strikes me as pretty fucking bush league.
-
Bob Aspromonte is my guess for Name That Astro.

He was ok until he did the rear ejection with the batting gloves.
-
That was so needed. Now add a couple more.

The umpire could also put on his big boy pants and pretend like he didn’t see it. It’s not as if he called him a cocksucker.

Alex seems to be getting away from the pop-up.

Why isn't Francona managing?

Was Francona ejected too?

No, something medical with his eyes.
-
Boy! The sound of the bat on the ball when Yordan is swinging it!
Wish he had gotten it out of the IF.

Diabetes? I seem to recall Tito has an obsession with popsicles.

The Rooms To Go Lounge. SMH

Man, I remember Machete had an arm, but damn that was a great throw. If Carlos had been on time, Puig was out taking a stupid risk.

Do they want Alvarez rather than Bregman?

The fair comment is to say he missed 2 HRs by a few degrees of launch because he definitely didn’t come up short on the power on either one

Rondon's kind of getting on my nerves.

Rondon's kind of getting on my nerves.
He must pitch better if he's going to make a possible playoff roster.
-
Rondon's kind of getting on my nerves.
Behind to every hitter, still gets 2 quick outs, now loads the bases for Smith to face Puig. Don’t these guys realize they are pitching for their bullpen spots? McHugh was horrible last night.

Puig did not slide at home.
-
Good job Joe
-
No drama Joemama.
-
Machete's 2B started a 3-run rally in the 8th, after three K's
-
Another series win against a surging team.
Events of the week have put things in an exciting light, but there's still work to be done to get bullpen preforming well and some hitters to get back to peak form.
Long way to go.

Thankful that he made the play unscathed.

It was an excellent part of that play that wasn’t talked about enough.
