Players must be sky high. Should be a fun game to watch.
-
Oh god, Max Stassi has to stay in Cleveland because that's where the Angels play next.
-
Correa homers on the 3rd up/in the zone 93 mph FB of the AB.
1-0 mid 2
-
Roberto Perez gives Cleveland 3-1 lead
-
For a second I thought the Indians got rid of the Mario coin sound - but it’s still a thing. I hate it for some reason, but I’m not gonna let it get to me today.
-
Yuli bases clearing double puts Astros back on top 4-3 in 3rd
-
Urquidy’s tempo really takes a hit from the stretch. More so than the typical slow down you see with runners on.

It seems kind of weird not seeing Chief Wahoo anymore. But I understand.
-
Chirinos: slider away
Cut and paste that for every AB from here to eternity.

We call that the Biggio.

We call that the Biggio.
He stumbled across the wrote tape in the film room archives.

That was unfortunate

Why is Urquidy still in the game...
-
Chirinos goes to third on the bunt attempt, to no avail.
Promptly followed by a 3 run homer.
6-4 Native Americans.
-
The only ball not smoked this inning was the bunt.
And the Astros didn't record an out on that one.
AJ out to end Urquidy's evening. He was playing with fire with baserunners all night.
-
Devo comes in and gets 3 outs without allowing another run.
Astros down 6-4 after 5.
-
Correa smashes a changeup into the LF corner for a leadoff double.
That's it for Plesac.
-
Lindor can't make the over the shoulder catch on a Yuli popup.
1st/2nd no outs for Reddick
-
... and Reddick gives Lindor another chance with a first pitch popup.
1 out for Chirinos
-
Chirinos smashes one directly at Ramirez. 5-4 FC gets Yuli; no throw to 1st.
1st/3rd 2outs for Springer.
-
Springer holds up on a 3-1 pitch; bases juiced for Altuve.
Conference on the mound to discuss things.
-
I can't help but feel that was the ballgame right there.
-
Altuve takes 2 hittable FBs to fall behind 1-2, then chases a slider that ended up in the opposite batter's box.
Good grief.
-
Vintage Altuve. Take a fat pitch, chase on down and away.
-
I can't help but feel that was the ballgame right there.
We've secretly replaced Jose Altuve with Morgan Ensberg; let's see if people notice.
-
Perez greets McHugh with a blast over the centerfield wall.
7-4 Cleveland.
-
Vintage Altuve. Take a fat pitch, chase on down and away.
Two fat pitches
-
Lindor with his 3rd hit of the night.
1 out for Mercado.
-
Kalas just accidentally(?) dropped a "Tyler Bauer"
-
Mercado walks.
1st/2nd, 1 out for Santana.
McHugh not sharp.
-
McHugh gets Santana swinging.
Kipnis up still with 2on/2out.
He promply homers deep to right.
Its 10-4.
-
Geez McHugh, way to put it out of reach.
-
Sigh.
Collin, that was not good.
-
McHugh better get it together otherwise his walk/big contract year will end up being a minor league contract with a spring training invite by some non-contending team.
-
Brantley's leadoff walk is promptly erased by Bregman's gidp.
-
I don't want to sound like an alarmist, but I don't think the Astros are going to win this game.

I think they're probably a bit distracted tonight; that's fine and perfectly understandable. But tomorrow would be a good time to get back to business.
-
Sneed pitching in the 7th.
6-3 for the first out.
K for the second.
I really wish McHugh could figure things out. Like that dude a lot. And obviously it would be good for the club.
-
2 out walk then a 3U grounder ends the 7th for Sneed.
-
Has Sneed had a bad outing for the Astros yet?
-
3 quick outs for the Astros in the 8th.
Abreu set to make his debut.
-
Has Sneed had a bad outing for the Astros yet?
Can't think of one.
-
Abreu makes a nice play on a high, high hopper to get Lindor.
Had to back up behind the mound, wait for it to come down then fire to first.
-
After a 6-3 groundout Abreu falls behind Santana 3-0, gets a called strike and a foul ball to get to a full count, finally induces a 3-1 groundout with a nice breaking ball.
To the 9th.
-
Chirinos pops a bunt up that's fielded by the pitcher.
Springer flies out
Altuve walks
Francona out to make a pitching change; smart move to head off the 2 out 6 run rally
-
Brantley grounds into a FC.
Astros lose 10-4.
Cole on the mound tmw.
-
Not the way Urquidy wanted his last major league start for a while to go.
-
Starting to get seriously concerned about McHugh.

Win tomorrow, and it is all good. Construction of this roster will be fun. McHugh should be worried.
-
One of the current pitchers is going, seems like the options are Devo or McHugh

So they're definitely going with 12 pitchers?

Abreu, Sneed, and Urquidy first, right?

For now, but the assumed returns of James and Peacock loom for Devo and McHugh.

If they go with 13 pitchers then Straw will be sent down.

Devo seems to have rebounded. McHugh has gone the other way.
-

I would guess Devo goes down because he has options, Straw goes down to make 13 pitchers until Sept. 1.

All of that is dependent on when James or Peacock or Pressley return.
-
With no more Aug 31 deadline, this is pretty much who the Astros will be, hopefully taking to the post season. The list is currently at 26.
Chris Devenski
Zack Greinke
Will Harris
Josh James
Collin McHugh
Wade Miley
Roberto Osuna
Brad Peacock
Ryan Pressly
Hector Rondon
Aaron Sanchez
Joe Smith
Justin Verlander
Robinson Chirinos
Martin Maldonado
Jose Altuve
Yordan Alvarez
Alex Bregman
Carlos Correa
Aledmys Diaz
Yuli Gurriel
Michael Brantley
Jake Marisnick
Josh Reddick
George Springer
Myles Straw
In terms of pitching, I think anyone not named Pressly or Osuna is going to be fighting for that last reliever spot.

I suspect Biagini slots in there somewhere.
-
Thought I had him in there. So that means 2 pitchers out

This list is missing Cole. And Biagini, which has already been pointed out.
