Title: Pirates at Astros- June 26, 2019
Post by: Astros Fan in Big D on June 26, 2019, 07:28:10 pm
Framber put a FB over way too much plate, Springer hit a BOMB just to the left of the batter's eye.

2-1 Pirates after 1.

Hey, Framber: quit grooving pitches!
I was going to ask is he was pitching as bad as Gameday says he is...

Batting practice location.

Good grief.

Ah, the “sucker them into trying to score again” strategy.

Hey, if enough runners go home, some of them are bound to get thrown out.

Ah, the “sucker them into trying to score again” strategy.

They fall for it every time.

Seriously, though, that was a good job by White to keep his head in the game and deliver a good throw.

Nice recovery from bad throw and good throw home by White, great block by Chirinos for 3rd out!

How many 2-out, 2-strike runs must we allow?

Framber has less than nothing tonight.

What the fuck, Bregman?! Just took a 2-1 fastball RIGHT DOWN THE FUCKING MIDDLE.

That was pretty much the worst case scenario. I suppose it could have been worse if somebody got hurt.

Jesus Fucking Christ, what an absolute bowl of Cincinnati chili that was. Fucking pitiful at bat.

I do not understand what he's waiting for. He works himself into a good count, gets exactly the pitch you're hoping to force in that count, and then is somehow surprised by it. It makes no sense.

That was some serious 2013-grade horseshit

I might have seen that before in big league baseball but I don't remember it.

Maybe Vlad did it, who knows.

Fucking cricket stroke: Dickerson hits a ball on the bounce into short RCF and turns it into a double. I think that's probably a sign that I should go do something else.

I took the home run as a sign.

Giving up on a six run deficit is an ugly sort of arrogance.

Valdez optioned after the game. Guduan Perez and Armenteros are not eligible to be brought back. Rodgers Martin and Deetz are on minor league IL.

Who is coming up I wonder?

Only other pitcher on the 40-man is Bryan Abreu and he has only thrown in 10 games at AA...

I have seen some speculation that Cy Sneed is the call up and that makes some sense, as much sense as anybody else anyway. The issue is getting him on the 40-man but I think they may transfer Smith to the 60-day IL for now and cross that bridge when he's ready to return

I wouldn't necessarily say deserved, yeah he's had back to back terrible starts but that can happen to litterally anyone. I think it's more the circumstance and what his short outing means for the bullpen and that's why this move has been made. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Framber was back with the big club after the requisite 10 days

Per Jake Kaplan, you’re right on both counts.
