It's already the second inning. Slackers
Sox lead 1-0
-
B2:
Correa strikes out swinging
Diaz smacks one up the middle, Nova knocks it down as it rolls behind him. No play, infield single for Diaz
White bounces into 6-4-3 double play on the first pitch
1-0 Sox

Let's see if they'll start thre game over so we're not behind.
-
T3:
Tilson strikes out swinging
Sanchez grounds out 6-3 in the shift behind 2B
Garcia strikes out looking
1-0 Sox
-
Kempin' ain't easy.
-
B3:
Kemp doubles to RF
Chirinos hit by pitch
Marisnick grounds into 5U-4-3 triple play
Wow
1-0 Sox
-
That's a rally killer
-
I don’t think it’s jake night.
-
Second year in a row we've given up a triple play to the White Sox.
-
Hey Garrett, QUIT HANGING FUCKING BREAKING BALLS TO GOOD HITTERS! FOR FUCK'S SAKE!
-
I’m not sure I like what the BBGs are up to when there’s a triple play and a home run to straight-away center.
-
Garrett's pitching like he thinks he's going to get 10 runs behind him. That's not gonna happen.
-
I would like Hinch to stop calling the “give up home run” play and the “hit into multiple outs” play.

T4:
Moncada strikes out swinging
Abreu crushes a fucking laser line drive home run to dead center field...ball was still rising over Jake's head (he barely had time to turn around, let alone try to chase it) when it about knocked over the batter's eye...measured at 408 mph and 2 10 degree launch angle...
McCann strikes out looking
Alonso...3-0...3-1...3-2...walks
Jimenez strikes out swinging
2-0 Sox
-
Someone else gotta do pbp
-
Bregxit!
-
In the first three innings, Nova allows four base runners and faces the minimum.
-
How the hell were both of those guys safe?
-
Two games in a row for White?
-
Terrible throw by Sanchez. Any kind of decent throw and Brantley was a dead duck. Moncada way out of position. Another terrible throw., this time by Garcia leads to a third run.
-
Bottom 4
Reddick grounds out to the pitcher
Bregman homers to left
Brantley singles to right
Correa dumps an 0-2 pitch into the RF corner; it's bobbled so Pettis goes into windmill mode; Brantley scores, Correa safe at 3rd
Díaz sac fly to center plates Correa
White plops a ball into shallow center for a single
Kemp 4-3 into the shift
End 4
White Sox 2
Astros 3
-

Competently executed defense maybe gets *both* of those guys.
-
Jake's night just got better
-
That just about makes up for the triple play.
-
That was some sweet D!
-
Top 5
Anderson singles to center
Tilson Ks swinging (#100 on the season for Cole)
Sánchez sends one to the track in left center, Jake tracks it down and sends it back in to Correa who gets Anderson to complete the 8-6-3 dp
Mid 5
White Sox 2
Astros 3
-
Marisnick leaves me speechless.
Blum says 25% catch probability - maybe for Superman.
-
I can’t remember what or where it was but it seems like Jake made an even better play about a week ago.

He had a couple of nice grabs in Boston.
-
Blum says 25% catch probability - maybe for Superman.
Yeah, I"m trying to think of three other CFers in the AL who make that catch. Maybe Kiermaier. Maybe Jackie Martin Jr. Maybe Lorenzo Cain.
ETA: Except that Cain isn't in the AL anymore.

So, we’re just not doing phrasing any more?

Lana just rolled her eyes.

Astros 3

Somebody grab pbp por favor

Somebody grab pbp por favor
I'm pouring gasoline on fires at work, Wagner-style.
-
Couple of hits to start the Sox 6th have tied the game at 3
-
Whatever sharpness Cole had is gone. I don't know how long Hinch will go with him but he looks done with no outs in the sixth.
-
And another. Cole not looking sharp. Zero out, runners at 1st and 3rd
-

For a minute I thought this was the PBP because there are runners on the corners and no outs still.

Hinch has seen enough.

Wow. 5 innings for Cole. Not what you want to see. Leaves allowing 4 runs, runners at 2nd and 3rd. Still no outs. Josh James takes over.
-
Great, James getting squeezed.
-
James promptly gets squeezed and walks Alonso to load the bases.
-
This is BS
-
Fuck!
Who’s this idiot behind the plate. James has struck out Alonzo and Jimenez.
-
This is BS
HPU is gagging hard on James. about 4 questionable calls in 8 pitches.
-
Not a great throw by Bregman. Nice job by Chirinos to snag it.
-
Fuck!
Who’s this idiot behind the plate. James has struck out Alonzo and Jimenez.
Jeff Kellogg

He threw seven pitches that were clearly strikes that this idiot called balls.

Crew chief, no less. Bring on the robots.
-
Nice K for Janes there. 2 out.
-
Now eight fucking missed calls
-
Fuck
-
Fucking A. First home run in three years? Wtf?
-
Fuck.

Tilson was sitting dead red.
Monster grand slam.
-
1st HR of his career. A grand slam for Tilson.
-
What a shit show.
-
Hard to get through innings when you have to throw the ball through a fucking donut, AND get four outs an inning.
Jeff Kellog owes me four fucking runs.
-
If James comes out for the 7th, I see a high probability of him or AJ getting tossed.

That was about as bad a half inning for balls and strikes as I’ve seen in some years.
-
Oh for fucks sake!
Now the plate is four fucking feet wide
-
And of course he promptly calls strike one on Carlos three inches inside.
-

The electronic umps can’t get here soon enough.
-
First base ump gets into the act ringing up a blatant non swing.

Astros have made nine outs on four balls put in play.
-
Enough with the GIDPs already.
-
Newsflash for Tyler White...it ain’t the arrow, it’s the Indian.
-
And I mean bad for any team. I watch a reasonable number of random games. Usually when you see bad umpiring it’s expanding the zone to an unreasonable degree or bizarre inconsistency. It’s usually not an outright refusal to call a strike a strike.
-
Somebody wants to send a message, They're not making calls. They're making plays.
-
Astros have made nine outs on four balls put in play.
11/5
-
Another gidp.
Why the hell not?
-
That's just fucking embarrassing.
-
This game sucks.
-
Why would Yuli not play on his bobble head night?
-
Why would Yuli not play on his bobble head night?
Something-something discomfort, probably.
-
Sometimes the bar eats you.
-
But for Marisnick, Cole's bad line looks even worse.
