Cole with 2 Ks and an F9 in thre first.
-
First pitch F9 from Springer, first pitch grounder to 2nd for Josh. Bregman took a couple of barely strikes, worked a full count, then grounded out to short.
-
There's a game within a game going on between Pence and Reddick.
-
My fiancée seeing Pence hit for the first time: “He looks like a malfunctioning robot up there.”
-
Gallo Ks on 99 mph cheese (foul tip, full count)
Pence homers to right on a very poorly located FB
Odor Ks on 99 mph high cheese
Cabrera frozen by a slider
Rangers up 1-0
-
Someone please explain to me why the Astros keep giving Pence cookies to drive?

But 1-0 dingleberries.

The best description I've seen of PENCE! is: "he runs like a rotary phone in a clothes dryer".
-
Close the book on Cole.
6 IP, 1 R, 4 hits (2 IF hits), 12 K, 0 BB
That'll do.

Bagwell is currently telling a story about Pence calling timeout while taking soft toss in the cage during a practice one day.
Pence is... special.

Did you administer a Giles to yourself?

I don't understand what happened to Devo, but when he starts to tailspin, he turns to absolute garbage.

Devo's season makes me sad.
-
Devo has a bad case of the Giles.
-
His career started spectacularly, but it’s been a steady decline from there.
-
I love watching Brantley hit.

I love watching Brantley hit.
Sometimes I wonder how he ever makes an out.
-
Way to go Tyler.
2 out rbi, went with a tough pitch to RF.
-
Gomez in for the Rangers...
Bagwell immediately points out "This guy's pants would come up to my chest."
Bagwell is fucking awesome.

If your team's down five runs in the eighth and you attempt a steal, you damn well better make it. Nice play by Chirinos.
-
James is missing spots by a foot.
-
Damn, T'pants can still hit. In spite of a swing that looks like a cross between Chi Chi Rodriguez and Mel Ott.
-
Josh, that wasn't the 0-2 pitch you were looking for.
-
James on the mound
Andrus reaches on an IF single to short
Gallo takes a ball, Andrus gunned down trying to steal

Sparks/Ford speculating that James has made an adjustment to his slider.

James sill pitching
Cabrera Ks swinging
Guzman 4-3 (shift)

The offensive outburst was fun, but Cole is the hero of this game. 2-1 in the 6th, runners on 2nd and 3rd, Gallo at the plate. Cole threw 2 99 mph heaters up that Gallo missed. Then he threw a 100 mph blur lower in the zone that Gallo watched.
Nails.

So did TV guys

He swung at one pitch directly over his shoelaces and another 3 inches over his head.
He swung at one at least three inches inside, too.
-
He swung at one at least three inches inside, too.
He flails wildly, and his K swing on Cole’s 3-2 curve was comical. He is strong as an ox, though, and during this hot streak he has been chasing less and crushing FBs he can reach. I enjoyed Bagwell’s comments about Pence last night, and I admire his hard work to get back on a MLB roster.
-
Pence has always been like a puppy. Adorable as hell but shits and pisses all over the floor.
