Booo.

2 outs by Altuve & Bregs (missed it, but apparently Bregman lined out to LF after Jose flied out to right)...Brantley ropes a LD single to LF and Carlos drills a groundball through the hole to left.  Yuli pops up a meatball down the RF line, 3 players converge and the 2B makes a nice sliding grab with his back to the ball to end Top 1

The word surreal is hackneyed to the point of being meaningless but it is appropriate to describe Marwin in a Minnesota uniform.

Marwin and Dallas should be hired by MLB agents to be a spokesman against enlisting the services of Boras.

And Maldonado.

Looks like we're starting off with another 25-30 pitch 1st inning. Oh joy.

His competitive advantage over the front offices wrt info-driven bullshiting has seemingly evaporated.

How do these guys miss calls like that? He's standing right on top of it, the tag is on the guy when he's nearly a foot off the bag, the tag is down on the shin so the ump can see both events in one spot.

Full count leadoff walk, 4 pitch K, chopper to the bag at first, Yuli steps on it, fires a nice throw to 2B for the tag.  Ruled safe, Correa says bullshit, he was very out. Twins leaving the field as the review happens.  Commercial break, review agrees with everyone but the ump.  End Top 1.

I doubt that Tyler and the equipment manager need to look at the #13 on the belt to tell which one in the pile is Tyler’s.

Gameday thinks Tyler would've needed a stepladder to reach strike 3.

Reddick took another outside pitch to LF, down the line and if it hadn't kicked off their version of dumbass cove it would've gone to the wall for a 2B.  Nice play by the LF to hold him at first.

White watches a floating cutter on the outside edge for strike 1, watches another farther outside for ball 1, swings through the 3rd similar pitch for strike 2, and Ks on a fastball at his eyes.

Missed Chirinos and Jake, kitchen duty.  Somebody else can take over.

Adrianza’s swing didn’t look like one from a guy who had not hit a home run this season prior to that moment.

4-31 with no XBH.  If it had to be somebody it could have been Marwin.

That's consecutive 7-pitch innings for Odorizzi, blew through the top 6 of our lineup.

He's a wizard, apparently. Because his hittable middle-of-the-road stuff is getting popped up constantly.

I was going to ask, since I don't have any TV coverage, if he looks like the Cy Young Gameday makes him out to be. His stuff must be electric to cause so many pop-ups and Ks while catching so much of the plate.

This home plate ump has absolutely no idea where the outside corner and bottom of the zone start/end.

Just guessing on every pitch.

Brantley was fooled by a fastball over the plate on a 3-2 pitch w/ RISP.

All around just fucking awful effort at the plate tonight. So many middle of the plate fastballs fouled off or swung through.

Odorizzi was not anything special tonight.

Tyler White was world class awful. I am not sure a DFA would be so bad. Does he have any trade value?

The going rate in the GZ a few days ago was an autographed photo of Pete Incaviglia.

But we could be talked down from there.

A not particularly well thought out description of said picture would do it for me.

I think a skillful negotiator could play on last year's second half (while carefully avoiding the postseason) and maybe parlay him into a low-lever prospect. But since we have no leverage whatsoever, even that may not be possible. But if he doesn't show signs of life real soon, I don't think you can continue to waste the roster spot.

If they can cut bait on J.D. Martinez, they sure as hell can do it to Tyler White.

If they can’t tell the difference between Tyler White and J.D. Martinez, they’re in the wrong business.
