Bases juiced for Brantley...

Are we taking bets on stranding Chirinos on 2nd?

Keep applying pressure.
-
Well, I'm happy they didn't strand Chirinos, but more would have been nice.
"stupid exit velocity"

All they can do is hit the ball hatd. Both did. They can’t direct it.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out what's more frustrating, though. When they hit it hard right at someone, or when they strike out or hit a weak grounder at someone.
-
I was wanting Choo to try to score on a Carlos relay throw.
-
Good grief.
-
God Fucking Damnit.
Fucking putrid.
-
Bottom 3
Choo walks
Santana pops out to Bregman on shallow left

Wow. B2B for Pence and Forsyth. Also B2B turds laid by Cole and McHugh.
-
Somebody else grab pbp.
I need to go vomit for the next few hours.
-
Wow. B2B for Pence and Forsyth. Also B2B turds laid by Cole and McHugh.
Looking forward to hearing that Cole was somehow also tipping McHugh's pitches.
-
Is McHugh tipping his pitches too?
-
Is McHugh tipping his pitches too?
I think a fuckin' Agent got to Neo.
-
Is McHugh tipping his pitches too?
"Hey, here come another cement mixer!"
-
Another ugly inning in the works.
-
This absolutely putrid on all fronts.
-
I'm done with this game.
Fucking embarrassing.
-
Gallo's first sac fly.
Of his career.
-
Gallo's first sac fly.
Of his career.
That's like the total opposite of Votto's career first pop out to the the first baseman the other day.
-
Framber answers the rally by walking the leadoff hitter.
-
Back to back walks to start the 6th.
-
4-3 double play.
Now Framber gets to face Gallo with a man on.
-
Unbelievable.
Gallo pops one a mile high, none of the infielders can locate it.
Ball drops 20 feet from the nearest Astro. Choo scores. Framber out.
-
And Gallo w his 5th rbi on a sky high pop up that no one could see.
-
And Gallo w his 5th rbi on a sky high pop up that no one could see.
Finally get the guy not to mash a ball, and nobody catches it.
Replay shows Bregman recognize Correa was in trouble but it was too late to make a play.
-
Valdez walked 3, struck out 3.
He's a walking peptic ulcer.
-
Correa turned on that one viciously.
The ball was probably no more than 5 feet above the wall at its apex.
-
Reddick gets some chin music from the lefty Martin, then takes him yard.
11-8.
-
Springer dinger makes it 11-9.
-
Bregman walks.
Brantley flies out to right.
-
Brantley just missed getting it tied up.
Just off the sweet spot.
-
Correa chases some low sliders and Ks.
Too amped up.
-
Yuli works a walk.
1st/2nd for Josh. Jake runs for Yuli.
-
Josh likewise walks.
Bases juiced.
Altuve will hit for Díaz.
-
Altuve walks (strike 2 was clearly ball 4 high, ball 5 was even higher), Bregman scores.
11-10.
Bases still juiced. Rangers going to the pen.
-
Kelley (RHP) to face Chirinos.
-
Chirinos got TWO cement mixers and missed them both.
Fuck. If only McHugh hadn't decided to shit himself so emphatically today.
-
Chirinos falls behind 0-2, then 1-2 fighting a few off before he Ks on a slider in the dirt.
Final
11-10 Rangers.
-
Chirinos got TWO cement mixers and missed them both.
Fuck. If only McHugh hadn't decided to shit himself so emphatically today.
He was so out in front on the second one.
When Wendelstedt called strike 2 on Altuve I wondered if he wasn't doing us a favor ie. Altuve had a better chance of delivering than Chirinos.
And yes. 2 worst starts in Cole and McHugh's careers in back to back games.
-
I knew that pop up was the winning run when it happened. Ugh, how the hell does your starter allow 10 effing runs? 2 nights in a row???
-
Pretty telling he did not PH White for Chirinos.
-
McHugh’s ERA ballooned from 1.96 to 4.78
-
And don't forget that run that scored on the popup was the leadoff hitter in the inning, who got on base by Framber fucking walking him.
Framber then walked the next batter for good measure.
Don't want run scoring popups to happen? Don't fucking walk the first 2 batters in the inning.
-

Yes it was and reveals a real weakness that I hope they try to address.

Walks were his issue last year and it seems to me that it still is.
