It seemed to get away from Hendricks. He was wincing as soon as he released the pitch.

White...works the count full...strikes out swinging
Chirinos hit by the first pitch, Gurriel to 3B, Reddick to 2B

That’s it for Estrada, Hendriks in

Altuve...full count...strikes out swinging
Bregman homers to LCF...Reddick scores, Chirinos scores, Springer scores
Brantley drilled right between the 4 and the 2 on his back
Correa grounds into FC, Brantley out 6U

Putting one between the numbers right after a GS is a bad look.

Impartially judging from the reaction of both the pitcher and catcher I don’t think this was a thing. I hope it doesn’t become a thing.

I agree it didn't look intentional. But pitcher and catcher needed to make clear that it wasn't, given the situation.

But if another guy or 2 is hit,  even if unintentional, it generally will lead to a FB to the glute.

First time seeing White in person this year. He lost a bunch of weight last year and got in decent shape. Did he gain it all back?

This is the lone weak spot. Yordan Alvarez thinks so too.

ETA: Guduan has pitched too well to give up after one inning. He should have made the team out of ST.

He wasn't exactly missing wildly, few inches off the plate mostly. Little bit of time with Brent Strom and I think it'll be ironed out

A little work would not hurt, either.  Only 2 outings (3 IP) at RR before being recalled.  He did have 1 BB & 1 WP to go with 6 K there, but I expect he will get straightened out.

CFM

Collin F'n McHugh may actually be an upgrade from Charlie.
