The hitters adjusted by laying off the slider and challenging him to throw it for strikes. When he couldn’t, he was forced up and in. I think this is what Hinch was talking about when he said they need to find a way to be able to elevate the ball. He knew what they were going to do, he just didn’t want to tip his hand.

Nice way to start the post season and get a bit of offence at home. Time for a little rest now, at least I get to sleep in till 4:30 tomorrow morning.

I flew on the Hell Kitty plane once. They had Hello Kitty barf bags. It was tremendous.

Not sure if the telecast showed it but in the bottom left corner of the out of town scoreboard there is an entry that says “never settle” with 11 boxes underneath. After today’s game they put an X up in the first box.
