Nice course. It would be so much fun to take a Britain and European golfing vacation.
-
Europe sit at 10 needing 4 1/2 to win, the USA ends the day at 6 needing 8 to win.

Sorry...nit.

I don't see how they're going to take 8 points tomorrow, not with the way they're exploring all of the interesting parts of the course.

Euros have front-loaded the singles, looking to kill it off early. That’s what I’d do. If the US can win those early matches, it’s game on.

Taking 8 points from 12 matches is a tall order. Realistically, you can only afford to lose one or two of those matches.

Yep.

FTR, the Battle of Brooklyne and the Miracle at Medina were both victories from being down 6-10 on Sunday morning.

Time for a European version, The Legend of Le Golf National.

Next Ryder cup on Europe soil is being held in Rome, I’ve always wanted to go to a Ryder Cup across the pond. Figure we could load up on sympathy drinks from the local too

Justin Thomas does his part with an assist from McIlroy. USA 7 Europe 10.

McIlroy made the mistake of playing “prevent” off the tee on 18. Great match and great play by Thomas.
Euro big guns of Rory and Rose both down in flames.

Spieth goes down. I am enjoying/not enjoying all the back and forth. Classic Ruder Cup.

Last time I saw a guy called Rahm and a guy called Woods going at it like this, there was a chick in the middle.

Tiger's putting has forsaken him. There was a time when there was never a doubt about those 8-10 footers.

That’s what happens when you pick a guy who caught lightning in a bottle and won one tour event in 5 years. ;)

Poulter just out-drove Johnson on 18. 🤪🤪🤪

Fowler has suddenly grown fond of the water.

And just like that, it’s done.

T’was a tale of Captain’s picks.

T’was a tale of Captain’s picks.
T'was a tale of hitting the ball in the fairway. Or not.

Maybe the USA needs to add Mexico and Canada. Are there any great golfers from Mexico or Canada? Maybe they should add Central and South America.

TIGER IS BACK!?
What? Oh.

Patrick Reed threw some shit at Furyk and Speith, claiming that he expected the successful Speith-Reed partnership to be put out there again this tournament, but that Furyk split them up at Speith's request. This might explain Reed's ironic shushing gesture after he won his singles match, after having lost both the team matches he played (with Woods).
To be fair, Reed and Woods ran into the Molinari-Fleetwood buzzsaw - twice - and that same Euro combo also took down Thomas & Speith who won every other team match in which they were involved (Thomas beat McIlroy in his singles while Speith fell hard to Oleson). It's not really a strong argument, therefore, that Reed & Speith would've done any better than Reed & Woods against Molinari & Fleetwood.
Of course, if Reed is arguing that he wouldn't have been facing Molinari & Fleetwood if he'd been Speith's partner, then he's being a whiny bitch.

Koepka and Johnson had to be separated at the after party. Not a lot of esprit de corps among the US young guns.
