I'm definitely getting a little concerned about JV lately. Looks like he is pitching a little tired.

I share your concern.
-
A walk, an error and a wild pitch gets Springer home to tie the game top 3. 2 out.
-
Great White singles home Bregman. 2-1 Astros top 3. 2 out
-
Correa and Marwin both single to bring home White and it's 3-1 Astros. Mid 3.
-
JV has 2 Ks which puts him over 250 for the year and joins Cole as the first teammates to have over 250 in a season since 2002.
-
Correa and Marwin both single to bring home White and it's 3-1 Astros. Mid 3.
I think the key part was that we were unable to GIDP no matter how hard we tried.... hope JV has got it together now.
-
They also pass Mike Scott and Nolan Ryan (86) as the most in Astros history by teammates.
-
STOP! TALKING! ABOUT! MAGIC! NUMBERS!
-
Both pitchers have 1-2-3 half-innings and it's still 3-1 Astros. Mid-4.
-
Martinez GO 3-1
Goodrum FO9
Rodriguez K
3-1 Astros through 4.

Top 5
Altuve - drops a perfect bunt down the 1B line. Safe!
Bregman - High fly ball to RF - 1 out
White - 4-pitch walk
Correa - Swings at an awful pitch in the dirt to K - 2 out
Marwin - Lines out up the middle to 2B in the shift - 3 out
3-1 Astros. Mid 5

If anyone wants PBP, I gotta start dinner.
-
I’m in conference calls tonight. No PBP for me
-
A walk and a single put runners at the corners with no outs in the bottom of the 6th.
-
Good job by the Trainer twice redirecting Altuve back to the convo. Not sure he should be in there.
-
That single was a sharp ground ball right to Altuve who's knee gave out and he just collapsed in a heap. He's gonna stay in, but that did not look good.

It looked more like he tried to slide to make the play. The ball was a little to his left.
-
Altuve is chewing on his fingernails every time the camera is on him. How in the world does he have anything other than bloody nubs left?
-

It was to his left, but he was there, and it looked like he went to plant his left leg and the knee just gave out. He may have been sliding though, I'll have to look at it again.
-
The leadoff walk bites him in the ass, but JV managed to get through 6 with a 3-2 lead

It kind of looked like his knee caught the edge of the grass when he went down. He rolled over right as he went down.

That was the impression I got, too.
-
Verlander starts the 7th with 86 pitches.
-
Fuuuuuuuck!
-
That knee is not good.
-
That knee is not good.
Yeah, it's the left one.
-
JV is pumping them in there.
-
JV says, “I got you, Jose”.
-
BIG K!!
-
Classy applause by the Tigers fans.
-
Hinch should sit Altuve.

Agree 100%

Marwin just missed two more runs there.

That carried a lot further than I (and Marwin) thought it would.
-
Altuve still in
-

Funny how Marwin knew it wasn't getting out right off the bat but it only missed by a foot or two.
-
Holy shit.

He just missed that ball going 400 feet...by about half a millimeter.
-
What a relay! Nice stretch by Marwin!
-
Blue Star for Reddick!
-
Holy shit.
Just a routine 7-6-3 double play...
-
Did he lose it in the lights?
-
Did he lose it in the lights?
Maybe. Looked like it had some good topspin on it too.
-
Springer just re-aggravated his thumb
-
Springer’s thumb is hurting also. Walking Wounded.

Yeah, I think it was a combination of funky spin and battling the lights. He stayed with it nicely though.

One of the foul balls he hit right off the end of the bat. I know that had to send the bees buzzing up his hand and arm. Hopefully that's all it is.
-
I think it will be with Springer the rest of the year. He’s lost control of the bat on a number of whiffs recently, one tonight.
Carlos!
-
Hell yeah!!
-
Good win boys!
That was that half game difference in the standings, and you just pushed the lead to three full games.
-
Boom

Also happened a couple of times over the weekend.

I was listening to the radio feed (reinstalled the app and got it to work). The call was 'ground ball to the right side' and I was thinking double play. Then 'it's past Altuve and he's hurt!'.
I wanted to vomit.

That grounded and Bregman’s throw were plays Altuve makes if he is healthy.

Springer is not in the lineup tonight.
