Apologies for using the TZ for a personal post, but as some of you know, Elizabeth’s two month old son stopped breathing Sunday morning and had been in Dell Children’s Hospital all week. Turned out he had a couple of viruses in his lungs, and the apnea was because his breathing apparatus is not yet developed enough to deal with the lunch congestion. The docs at Dell see this all the time in infants and were not overly concerned, but Elizabeth and her family were terrified. Weston has improved steadily, and they went home tonight.
Thanks and much love to all of you who expressed your care and concern on FB or texts. This truly is a community of good friends.
Coach/Jim
PS I had oral surgery today so this has NOT been my best week ever.

As a grandpa myself, I can only imagine the angst of you and family. Thank God he is doing ok. Prayers for you all.

Here's to healthy children.

I did not know that Jim, but glad the little guy is on the mend. My brother works a few days a week at Dell. Also, we have a few Weston’s in my family, all named for my maternal grandmother’s brother. I’ve always liked it. Feel better yourself, oral surgery doesn’t sound too fun.

Glad to hear your grandson is ok, Jim. Hope you have a speedy recovery after oral surgery, too.
-
Jim, sending positive vibes to you and your grandson and family. I too had recent oral surgery and it gets no better the older you get.

Thanks for the good wishes for Weston and for me, folks. My oral surgery was and post-op so far has been pain-free. Thank goodness.

Damn good news on both counts.

Glad to hear things are trending better, Jim. And, I share your sentiment. This really is a community of good friends.

Hah! Lung congestion, not lunch. He was able to eat.

I guess because I saw the good news on FB I never noticed the incorrect auto correct.

Glad to hear the little guy is doing better. Hope it's all smooth sailing from here on.
By the way, Edward Weston is one of my favorite photographers.
