If he had a less stingy HPU, he'd have something special going on.

I think 3 flyballs, everything got right at him.

One was a tough luck bloop and the other was a shiftfuck ground ball. And the out he was “gifted” was also a guy who reached on a shiftfuck infield single.

He went full on the #9 hitter on a shitty team with 2 outs. Bloops happen. But given Harris's recent outings, that inning fell together for him to succeed and he didn't.

Peacock might want to stick with his hook more often, until the slider comes back. He can get by with a heavy FB/CB combo.

I only have Gameday and it showed a ground ball to right with a pretty modest exit velocity. I figured it had to be on the line, but seems Yuli should be guarding the line in the 9th with a lead.

May 9th. Ten appearances ago.
-
The hpu had an erratic zone.
The low strike was absent all night until about the 7th, then disappeared again. Chirinos was gifted a ball that was solidly in the inner/upper quadrant.
-
Another big game from Gattis.
And Altuve with 3 hits.
Good start to the longest road trip of the year.

I guess it makes him feel better when the closer has a clean inning. Giles makes fans nervous, and after the last week, runners on in the 9th makes people piss their pants. Personally, my only problem with Giles has been the way Hinch has used him lately. I would not have used him up 5-1. Perhaps the plan was Harris in the 7th, Devo in the 8th, and Peacock in the 9th, but when he had to use Devo in the 7th, it messes it up. I’m not sure why Peacock couldn’t have gone out there for the 9th.

Agree with you 100%. Devo also could have pitched the 8th, but maybe Hinch is saving him for the rest of the series. He sure loves Harris.

HIs love for and trust of Harris may be changing. All "shift anger" aside, Harris had a couple of tough breaks last night, but Hinch was quick to hook him when he got two runners on base. A few weeks ago, I think he'd have left Harris in there with two out, at least until he gave up a run, maybe even two. Last night he was out as soon as he got into real potential trouble.
