Starting this a little late. Lineups are...found elsewhere.
Davis K's
Machado K's
Schoop homer over the Crawford Boxes
Adam Jones flies out to left center
I'll keep up for a bit until I see there's no interest. Doubt I'll be able to do pitch by pitch.
-
Holy chit!! Correa with an ITPHR. LF and CF collided in CF and the ball rolled away to RCF. Standing up. Altuve scores. 2-1 Astros T2
-
Springer grounds out to short for out #1
Bregman walks on a fastball low and away
Altuve grounds to short to force Bregman at second, 3 away
Correa and his angry toe go round and round the bases for an inside the park HR off of Mancini's glove and the LF wall, 2-1 Astros!
Reddick K's, end of the 1st, 2-0 Astros.
-
That was hilarious, he didn't even start to run really hard till he went past 1st.
-
He wasn’t stopping, that’s for sure.
-
Mancini walks after a couple of close pitches to lead off the 2nd
Colby Jack K's looking on a backdoor slider, 1 away
Tim Beckham does not bend it, flies out to RF, 2 away.
Chance Cisco (Kid) fights off a few two strike fastballs, foul tip K's to end the top of the second.
2-1 Good Guys, middle of the second
-
Marwin shoots a ball against the shift and past the third baseman into LF for a single to lead off the bottom of the second.
Lumberjack Gattis cools off the stadium on a swinging strike 2 before taking strike three, Marwin gets thrown out trying to steal second. That was awkward looking. Bases empty, 2 out.
McCann lines out to the rover in short right, 3 away,
End of 2, 2-1 Astros
-

My row was empty at the time. I was yelling and running with Correa. It was great.
-
Santander pops one close to the left field line, Bregman (playing close to short due to the shift) makes a nice running catch for out #1.
Chris Davis K's swinging, 2 away.
Machado pops out to third to end the top of the third. Still 2-1 Good guys.
-
Is everyone at the game and I just missed the memo? Should I stop with the inning summaries? I know it's nowhere near as good as the usual pitch by pitch.
-
All of the folks that came in from out of town for opening day, what hotels did you end up selecting?

I'm following. On a conference call, so I can't post much.
-
Fisher K's swinging, 1 away.
Springer takes a non-sliding slider right in the middle of his back for a HBP. Runner on 1st, one out. George showed a lot of heart shaking it off like that.
Breg Man lines a 3-1 pitch into LF for a single. Springer to second after taking a loooooong look at third. Runners on 1st and 2nd, 1 away.
Altuve slaps one to center to load the bases with 1 out.
Correa skies one just short of the warning track in RF to score Springer on the sacrifice fly, 3-1 Astros, 2 away, runners on the corners.
Reddick grounds out to first to end the third, 3-1 Astros.
ETA As long as there is ONE FAN (or even Hudson :P ) who needs my summaries, I shall continue.
-
I’m here.

I love listening to Bags even when he’s sober.

You can run as fast as Carlos? I'm really impressed.

Bags seems way more comfortable talking tonight and I'm loving every minute of it

Someone, who is this? Oh yeah, Schoop lines a double to the LF corner to leadoff the fourth. Verlander may want to do something about him.
Adam Jones lines one to RF that falls just in front of Reddick to put runners on the corners with no outs.
Mancini hits one to DEEP right, but Reddick jumps at the wall to turn a three run homer into a long sacrifice fly that scores Schoop from third. 3-2 Astros, 1 away, runner on first.
Colby fouls out to McCann, two away.
Beckham fights off several good two strike pitches before hitting a hot grounder to first. Marwin smothers it and steps on the bag to end the top of the fourth, 3-2 Astros. Verlander at 71 pitches.
-
Marwin leads off the bottom of the fourth, goes to a full count before K'ing swinging.
Gattis K's swinging as well. Looked like he wanted to hit the train with that swing, came up empty.
McCann goes down with...wait for it.. a swinging K to end the fourth. Still 3-2 Astros. Wright at 72 pitches through four.
-

I'm checking in while watching the Baltimore feed and packing my house up.
-
Sisco leads off the top of the fifth and K's swinging. I sense a theme.
Santander actually tries to bunt against the shift, sends it JUST foul down the third base line. Ends up hitting a liner down the first base line JUST out of the reach of Marwin for a double.
Davis K's looking on three pitches
Machado K's swinging on three pitches to end the top of the fifth, 3-2 Astros. Verlander at 84 pitches,
-
Strike 3 to end the inning was wicked

Why are you moving your house?
-
Fisher works the count full before sending a grounder to first. 1st basemen tosses it to the covering pitcher for the first out.
Springer lines out to right on the first pitch, two away.
Bregman fouls out to first to end the fifth. That was quick.
-
Ouch! Jones with a 2-run homer over the tracks in LF.
-
I don't know why but my Samsung TV MLB app allows me to watch In-Market games without having to sign in to a provider.
-
Why are you moving your house?
It’s a small house and it’s sick of the cold weather.
-
All of the folks that came in from out of town for opening day, what hotels did you end up selecting?
I drove back after the game. Got home by 12 midnight.
-
Schoop ground to third but Bregman throws one into the dirt that Marwin can't handle. Runner on first on the E5, Schoop on again.
Adam Jones puts one up onto the train tracks to make it 4-3 Orioles. Way out of here. Devenski up and throwing.
Mancini grounds one down the third base line, Bregman runs it down then throws it across his body in foul territory (and nearly over the 3rd base coach) to get Mancini at first, One away, and that's a blue star for Alex in the scorebook.
Colby K's looking for the second out.
Beckham lines the first pitch into left field for a single. Runner on first, two away
That will close the books on Justin tonight, final line (pending the runner on first) : 5 2/3 innings pitched, 4 runs allowed (3 earned), 9 K's, 103 pitches. Devenski in.
Beckham steals second with two strikes on Cisco, who walks on a VERY close full count changeup. Runners on 1st and 2nd, 2 out.
Santander foul tip K's to McCann to end the top of the 6th, 4-3 Bad Guys,
-
Attaboy Reddick!

Woo!
-
Mychal Givens in for Wright to start the bottom of the 6th.
Altuve flies out to the track in RF for the first out after getting backed off the pate.
Carlos lines (107 MPH exit velocity) a FB back up the middle for a base hit. Runner on first, one out.
Reddick SENDS ONE INTO THE RF STANDS FOR A 2 RUN HOMER! 5-4 ASTROS! Celebratory sunflower seed shower in the dugout courtesy of Lance Jr.
Marwin works a full count before Ks swinging. Two away.
Gattis K's looking on a nasty fastball on the inside corner. At the end of 6 it's 5-4 Astros. Rondon warming up in the pen.
-
I’m taking credit.
-
That should be a single and an error. Not a double.
-

Scored that way per game day.
-
Rondon in and pitching to Chris Davis.
Davis K's (his fourth tonight) swinging.
Machado lines a single to centerfield, and Springer bobbles it which allows Machado to take second on the error.
Schoop (THIS guy again) K's swinging. Two away, runner on second.
Jones hit a soft broken bat liner to center JUST out of the reach of Correa for a single that drives home Machado and ties the game at 5.
Mancini flies out to Reddick in RF to retire the side and send us to the 7th inning stretch tied at 5.
-
Back on top.
-
Springer has a knack for taking back a run he gave away.
-
Not sure what tuve was looking for there

Araujo in to pitch for the Orioles. Big moment early in the season for a Rule 5 guy.
McCann leads off the bottom of the seventh by working a full count before getting HBP'd in the foot by ball four. Jake Farm comes in to pinch run at first.
Jake promptly steals second. Orioles lucky the ball didn't end up in center and a runner on third.
Fisher (not bunting) ends up swinging through a fastball for the K. One out, runner on second.
Springer LINES a fastball down the third base line for a double, scoring Marisnik and making it 6-5 Astros! Runner still on second, one away.
Bregman works a walk on 5 pitches. Good patience, second walk tonight. Runners on first and second, one out.
Altuve K's looking on a tough strike 3 pitch.
Correa walks to load the bases with two outs. Showalter to the mound, that's all for Araujo. Nestor Cortes Jr. (another Rule 5 guy, this one from the YankMees) in to pitch to Reddick.
Reddick works the count 3-0, Nestor works the count full, Reddick spoils a couple of tough pitches, then DEMOLISHES a pitch into the RF bullpen for a GRAND SLAM! WOOOOOOOOOOOO! RIC FLAIR STRUT (not really, but he should have)! SUNFLOWER SEED SHOWER! 10-5 Astros!
Marwin skies one to RF and Santander chases it down (with a dive) to end the inning. Vaunting complete for the inning, 10-5 Astros!
Will Harris warming up in the pen.
-
Not sure what tuve was looking for there
Something about eight inches off the plate.
I sort of like it when he strikes out looking. I enjoy it like I enjoy a lunar eclipse.
-
Is it 'wooo' or 'whooo'?
And how many o's?
Whichever it is I just yelled it in my living room.

I didn’t know my own power.
Can you do some work on Davis?
-
I assume they took Correa out because of the big lead?
-
Buddy of mine just sent me this on Josh:
"30 min ago he was batting less than .100 with no rbi's. Now his ops is 1.067 and he has 6 rbi's
I approve."
-
Colby up to lead off the 8th, Harris in to pitch, Stassi in to catch, Marisnik stays in to play center, Springer to RF, Reddick to left, Marwin to short, Davis in at 1st. Fisher and Correa out.
Colby K's swinging.
Beckham doubles to right center, one away.
Cisco singles to center, scoring Beckham and making it 10-6. with one out.
Santander up, hits a high grounder to Altuve who manages to snare it and throw it to second to force the runner. Nice jump by Marwin at the bag to snag the throw. Runner on first, two down.
Chris Davis chops one to first, handled by Davis at who steps on the bag for the third out. 10-6 Astros, middle of the 8th.
-
I assume they took Correa out because of the big lead?
Radio saying he gets day off tomorrow too.
-
We're just glad you're on our side.
I figured I owed them since I benched Schoop today on my fantasy team.
-
Gattis grounds out 6-3 to start the bottom of the eighth. One out.
Marisnick grounds a pitch back up the middle for a base hit! Runner on first, one away.
Max Stassi up, and he also grounds one back up the middle for another single! Runners on first and second, one out, Springer up.
George takes two strikes. fouls one off the catcher (looks like a signal cross up between the pitcher and catcher) then strikes out on a 90 MPH fastball on the inside corner. Two away.
Bregman up, takes ball one, ball two, high strike one, grounds one to short who takes the 6-4 FO to end the 8th. 10-6 Astros.
-
Jeez, is Schoop batting in about three different lineup spots?
-
Joe Smith in to pitch the 9th. Machado leads off and hits the first pitch just out of the reach of Marwin at short for a single.
Schoop up, takes ball one inside, grounds one to Alex at third who hesitates wanting to go to second for the force before trying to go to first. Schoop beats it out. Official scorer calls it a single, runners on first and second, no one out. Giles up in the pen.
Jones takes strike one, ball one, then grounds one to Marwin who turns the 6-4-3 double play! Runner moves to third, two away.
Mancini up, fouls off the first pitch, pops one into foul territory where it's squeezed by Stassi! And THAT'S the ball game! Astros win 10-6!
Thanks for putting up with my attempts at play by play, I'm going to go rest my keyboard. Later everyone!
-
Awesome job, cougar. I followed along, even though I was silent.

No problem HH, glad to help out.

You did a great job. Reading GZ with my coffee this morning.

All of the folks that came in from out of town for opening day, what hotels did you end up selecting?
Like Sphinx, I drove back and arrived about 12. Missed seeing you, chuck.
No hotel discussions until the 6th GZ? Slipping?

Not unlike the daylight savings time switchover, we're a little off our game because of the early start to the season.
-
It’s a small house and it’s sick of the cold weather.
A couple of years ago, my cousin, who is from Spain and moved to Miami as a youngster, said he got sick of the heat and hurricanes and packed up and moved to Maryland. He lasted about one winter and said "fuck this", moved back to South Florida.
-
It's not so bad really, but yesterday a co-worker told me there was going to be a "wintry mix" this weekend and I just about punched him in the balls.
