baseballl...spring training..but baseball

I hope you're right, but if AT&T Sports has it, expect a black out on Spectrum.
-
Your lineup for tomorrow will start with the following
Marisnick CF
Fisher RF
Bregman SS
Gattis DH
Reed 1B
Davis 3B
White 2B
Stassi C
Kemp LF
Arementeros P

The paying customers will be pissed. That is the JV team.
-
I wonder if they're thinking of making Marisnick an everyday outfielder.

Neil, is that you?

And yet I'd personally be tickled pink to get a first hand look at Arementeros.

I saw him pitch in corpus last summer. I'm not a pro, but I like what I saw

Not me. Baseball.

The paying customers should expect lineups like this for the first 1-2 weeks, shouldn't they?

I'm still trying to parse Arementeros. I thought the days of mystery players were done and gone.

Wow. I feel exactly the opposite. I can't wait to see Fisher, Reed, White, Davis and Armenteros.

Funny. I read that lineup and thought that's mostly Todd's all-trade team.

You are a fan. Many (most?) go to ST and are disappointed. MLB has a rule that at least __ (isn’t it three?) regulars start the game. This lineup has Bregman, Gattis, and Fisher (?) to comply. I like to see prospects too. I hope Reed hits two out.

Wish I was gonna be in Florida watching the boys tomorrow instead of freezing my keester off in Austin.
-
The menu shows that the game will be shown on MLB at noon. At least I'll be able to see someplace warmwhile watching the boys. I'm excited.
-
I'm so excited. 1pm (eastern) can't get here fast enough. MLB.tv, GameZone and a slate of conference calls (in which I will be "fully present") for the afternoon!
-
Is there a blackout for ST? I am getting WS Game 7 on MLB channel.

Excellent. I'll be excited to see Cole pitch. I'll be even more excited to see if he never shakes off the catcher and his FB rate is down. Although, I guess, it's still February so most pitchers not named McHugh are still pumping FB's up there as they get their arms back n shape.
-
On a side note, while I know pitchers are generally ahead of hitters right now, I was extremely impressed with Armenteros in the spring opener. If he continues to pitch anything like that as the spring progresses and starts facing more MLB hitters, we may see him during the season rather than Whitley. Dude looked sharp!

MLB lied. Not on live MLB Network. Have to watch the St Louis broadcast on MLBtv
-
Astros score 4 in the first. Singles by Fisher, Reed, and Davis (RBI), followed by a three run shot to RF by Tucker. I've seen Tucker bat twice this Spring and am very impressed with his eye and swing. Don't trade him.

Replay on MLB, not live.

Tommy Pham looks like a strong dude.

Correct!
-
Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas had a rough go giving up 6 runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
-
Gerrit Cole needed only 31 pitches to complete 2 innings, no hits, no runs, 2 strike outs, no walks, one HBP.
-

The MLB Network is showing the Astro game today at 3 p.m.- obviously delayed.
-
Tommy Pham looks like a strong dude.
This Tyler O'Neill kid has forearms bigger than his own head.
-
If you have DirectTV you can get the game live 671 with the StL telecast.
-
The Cards have a guy with the last name of Arrozarena. If he played in Houston his nickname would have to be Rice Stadium.
-
Announcers noting that Tucker's earlier bomb to RF was hit into the wind.

Well played, sir.
-
Damn. Tyler White has made a couple nice plays at 2B today - one diving stop to his left to throw out a guy, and just now a tough chopper behind the mound that the pitcher missed, White made a nice short-hop scoop and threw across his body to nail Pham, a fast runner.
edit: he also just ran into the first out of the inning at 3rd. I guess he's feeling all spry and shit.

It was a nice throw from Arrozarena to nail him.
-
Game delayed while they struggle to get car off the field.
-
I'm watching on the Cards broadcast. These announcers suck. Apparently no Astros players have names.

They have practically ignored the basics of game calling for a while now.

Tucker is as impressive as advertised, and Cy Sneed looks pretty good too.

Did it just fall from the sky?

this is true. ST for announcers too.

It was the same with the Astros TV announcers yesterday. It’s fine, it’s ST. Heck, even Sparks and Ford were very lax today and I could t even glance at the TV to see what was going on. Ford would jump in with a “and that last out was a FO to center” a bit into the next batter.
-

A promo during the 7th inning stretch. The exit gate in RF was blocked by the media truck. After several attempts so squeeze by it had to drive back across the outfield warning track and leave out the gate in LF.

And they charge good money for these games.

Just watched Cole’s first inning-all FBs.

Nice change-up though to strike out a batter in the second.

Are all of the spring games on radio so that if you buy the MLB app you can listen to all the games????

Yup. Two innings, and nary a breaking pitch. FBs, changeups, and great mechanics.

Since it's the Co-Ardinals, they were obviously trying to get a look at some Astros minor leaguers but didn't know the password to get through the backdoor. Luhnow had wisely changed the password to "V1ct0ryP4rade" so of course it never occurred to the Shitbirds.

Cole pitching again Friday vs Mets 4:30 on ATT

In case anyone is interested, today’s game against the Twins will be shown on MLB network tonight/tomorrow at 3am eastern.
