Solo HR and a Grand Slam as the LADodgers take a 7-0 lead in the 3rd inning over the Cubs.
-
Yeah, pretty impressive. I'm happy for him, but I still hate the Dodgers.
And, boy, if you think our bullpen has been bad (and it has), look at the Cubbies' numbers. What a dumpster fire.
-
Stick a fork in the Cubs.. they're done.
-
and he matches Jose Altuve with three home runs in a single game.
-
I wonder if the dogers would take Kemp for him.

Fuck him. He said really nasty things about the Astros when he was traded.
-
I liked him when he was here but always preferred Marwin.

Do you remember what his gripes were?

Do you remember what his gripes were?
Yeah, I don’t remember that at all.
-
I can't find the quote at the moment, but it was a comment about how it was nice to finally be playing in a place committed to baseball or something like that. I can't remember if it was directed more at the organization or at fan commitment.

Mostly about how they weren't a "real" Major League organization. He felt like he was still in the minors and they Astros will never go anywhere because they're "Mickey Mouse". He was so happy to be traded to a real organization like the Marlins.
Fuck him.

If the Astros make it to the Series, I'd rather it be in LA than in Chicago. We've done Chicago before, and it was a joke - playing Game #1 in a blizzard.

Are you sure it was him and not Jarred Cosart? Cosart was always a mouthy and negative bitch.

Cosart said shit. I don't remember Hernandez saying but you all remember way more stuff than I do.

It was Hernandez.

It was Hernandez.
That’s disappointing. It seemed to me like the Astros stuck with him for 4 years while he was putting up pretty crummy numbers in the minors - until a breakthrough his final year. The Marlins, on the other hand, gave up on him very quickly after he didn’t hit for them.

I remember Cosart being the suspected source of a negative anonymous source of negative stuff about the Astros prior to the trade but I have never heard anything negative from Kike. I have spent the last 15 minutes trying to find any proof of it but I can't find it. I would love to see proof of that because that is not my recollection.

I spent a lot more than 15 minutes and also found nothing. In fact, after the hurricane he mentioned how great Crane was for the help he was giving to PR.

Here's what I found....
“Let’s just say that being an Astro and being a Marlin and being a Dodger — once I got to LA, I know what I actually, I’m actually starting to enjoy what being a big leaguer is,” Hernandez said. “You actually get to experience, like, what it is to be a big leaguer.
“I remember having dinner with a Marlin, I’m not going to say who it was. But like three days after I got traded, and I was just telling him how things were a little different here. He’s like, ‘Just, whenever, if you ever get a chance to play for another team, you’re going to know what the big leagues is like, and not what Houston, Miami are like. Little bit more Show.’”

What he said doesn't really bother me. He experienced Houston when the plan was in its' first stage. Too bad for him but any ML experience should be light years' from the Minors but he couldn't see that. Just go out and beat him.

Certainly most of us thought that was a AAAA team then.
Remember when Boguvesic was the next big callup?
