Did anyone volunteer to be an SnS fedora mule so that we can all wear one to critical late season viewing gatherings?

His swing from the left hand side has always been luscious.

-
Altuve with a 2-out error puts runners on the corner...
-
Altuve with a 2-out error puts runners on the corner...

Walk and home run and just like that we're tied 2-2
When he walked the first guy on 4 pitches I told Buster that Encarnacion was going to hit a homer. Fucking meat slider.

Terrible by Morton....Encarnacion could simply not catch up to the fastball, so he hangs a breaking ball
-
I hope Encarnacion didn't hurt anybody with that thing. That was seriously smoked.

Reminded me of the homer Bonds hit at one of or Opening Day excursions. Hit some poor schlub right in the gut at about 150mph in the front row in right.
-
T4:
Santana...3-0...draws a 4-pitch leadoff walk
Encarnacion homers to LF on a cement mixer right down the center

If the ump tells the pitcher to pitch and he doesn't. Can he call it a ball? Are there any consequences?

Yes.

Everyone shitting skittles about the astros right now makes me more than slightly uncomfortable.

Be careful. You might get accused of being a nice guy in person.
-
B4:
McCann hits one into RF, but the shift is on...4-3
Gurriel flies out F9 on the first pitch
Bregman strikes out swinging
Easy 7-pitch inning for Bauer...still tied 2-2
-
Be careful. You might get accused of being a nice guy in person.
Not a problem.
-
Kipnis with a leadoff homer and the Tribe take a 3-2 lead
-
Morton needs to stop throwing the ball in the middle of the plate.
-
Morton quickly falling apart here in the 5th...
-
Neil wants to know how to score that.
-
Indians are spraying it around here now.

McCann lured Lindor into that out.
-
I hope that Lindor didn't hurt himself on that play. It looked a little ugly.
-
T5:
Kipnis homers
Lindor doubles to LCF on the first pitch
Brantley grounds out 4-3 on the first pitch, Lindor to 3B
Wild pitch right through McCann's legs...Lindor hesitates then heads for home, ball bounces back to McCann who backhand flips and Morton falls over Lindor and makes the tag...score it 2-1
Santana doubles down LF line
Encarnacion ground out 4-3
3-2 Indians
-
McCann lured Lindor into that out.
Just like you draw it up...
-
Two of the perhaps eight people visible in the front row were, I noticed as I watched the replay of the play at the plate, peering intently downward at something more interesting than the game and missed the play entirely.
-
Neil wants to know how to score that.
2-1
-
Hoyt for the 6th?
-
B5:
Aoki flies out F7
Springer...2-0...swings at ball three, a breaking ball at his eyes, swings at ball four, a fastball at his eyes, swings at ball five, a fastball at his eyes
Reddick strikes out swinging
3-2 Tribe
-
Given the scrutiny and general dislike by the MLB a community, I'm surprised the Indians have kept chief wahoo on the road jersey sleeve, which seems unnecessary and contrary to the inevitable phase out.

Well, I guess "surprised" isn't the right word.

Morton back on for the 6th, much to my surprise.
Martinez works the count full and then flies out to Springer in CF.
Chisenhall goes deep on an 0-2 pitch. 3rd HR tonight for the Tribe.
Zimmer works the count full and then walks.
Hinch has seen enough and brings in Hoyt to relieve Morton.
Perez grounds to short for the fielder's choice 6-3 (runner was on the move to avoid the DP). Runner on 2nd with 2 out.
Kipnis grounds to Altuve for the final out.
Indians lead 4-2 in the middle of the 6th.
-
Lindor is ridiculous.

They were probably both posting on here.

Lindor got nothing on that throw, bounced it twice and still beat Altuve by a full step.
-
Correa! Blum detracts from the excitement by once again referring to it as an "oppo taco"
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Oppo dinger by Correa makes it 4-3 now, Indians.
Was Chisenhall saying that those were Indians fans who caught the ball - possibly taking it away from him?

That was no Jeffery Maier incident. Well done by the fans going to get it once it cleared the yellow line.

Altuve leads off, grounds up the middle, and Lindor makes a tremendous play to throw him out.
Correa goes deep (well, shallow, but it's still out) to RF! Chisenhall nearly grabbed it, but couldn't quite get it.
Beltran with a lengthy AB, finally pops up on the 11th pitch.
That's the end of Bauer's night, thank goodness. Left-hander Logan on in relief.
McCann gets behind 1-2 but works the count full and walks on the 10th pitches.
Francona not happy with that and replaces Logan with Shaw.
Gurriel grounds out 6-4.
Astros get a run, but the Indians still lead 4-3 after 6.
-
Gurriel grounds out 6-4.
Just to pick nits...Gurriel grounded in a fielder's choice, McCann is the one who is out 6-4
-

Absolutely correct; sloppy on my part. Thanks for the correction.

Just trying to be helpful in case there are folks who aren't watching or are unclear on how to score that. Wasn't trying to be an asshole. Not that I ever am...

I asked because after the play they showed Chisenhall mouthing something to someone in the infield, and he swiped his hand across the "CLEVELAND" on his own chest and appeared to say something about "...fans".
-
Hoyt returns for the 7th.
Lindor flies out to LF.
Brantley walks on a 3-2 pitch that was pretty good.
Santana (how any left-handed hitters do they have, anyway?) up. Brantley steals second without a throw on a 2-2 pitch. Santana strikes out swinging on a nice sinker.
Hinch takes the ball from Hoyt and hands it to Feliz.
Encarnacion *crushes* a Feliz fastball foul past the upper deck; glad to see we're healing him! Feliz strike him out with high heat.
Indians still lead 4-3 in the middle of the 7th.
-
Oh, damn, that was a nice play by Kipnis on Aoki's flare.
-
C'mon blue

Shaw back out for the bottom of the 7th.
Somebody flies out to CF for the first out.
Aoki hits a bloop into short RF and Kipnis makes a nice over-the-shoulder catch for the second out.
Springer takes a very questionable third strike.
Indians lead 4-3 after 7 innings.
-
Swing the fucking bat Springer. That's twice this game you went up there and stood there like dumbass watching strikes go by.
-
Arizona come up with some butt ugly uniforms. And, btw, it is official that the rangers are the hottest team in baseball because MLB Strikezone just said so.
-

They're the hottest team in baseball because they just won their 10th in a row
-
Fucking Rangers win their 10th straight, beating the Tigers 5-3.
Feliz back on for the top of the 8th.
Ramirez hits the ball into the LF bullpen area and winds up with a lead-off triple.
Chisenall flies to CF, Ramirez tags and scores without a throw.
Zimmer strikes out.
Perez works the count full but strikes out on a FB at the knees.
Indians lead 5-3 in the middle of the 8th.
This just in: the Celtics are bunch of gutless wimps.
-
Here comes Andrew Miller for the top of the 8th. Time to pour some gasoline on his skinny ass and light it on fire.
Mighty Marwin pinch-hitting for Reddick. Sadly, he goes down swinging on a down-and-in slider.
Altuve grounds out to Lindor. At least he hit the ball.
Correa lines to RF. That was quick.
Indians lead 5-3 after 8.
-
To the 9th...Astros chasing a pair
-
Peacock on to pitch the top of the 9th.
Kipnix grounds to Gurriel 4U.
Lindor grounds to Gurriel 4-3.
Brantley walks.
Santana strikes out.
Indians lead 5-3 in the middle of the 9th.
-
Ok, time for another come-from-behind win!
-
Rally fedoras!
-
Well shit.
-
Cody Allen for the 9th.
Beltran pops out on a ridiculous over-the-top catch by Ramirez in shallow LF.
McCann hits it to the same damn spot, and Ramirez catches it for the 2nd out.
Gurriel lines out to CF for the final out.
Suck. Better luck tomorrow.
-
Can't win 'em all. But gotta get back on track tomorrow.
-
Morton and his inability to spot his fucking breaking ball.
-
I had to experience the unbearable today. Couldn't watch the game, couldn't really follow the gz, and couldn't even follow a box score. I know, it's hard to believe, but I somehow made it....
The fact that the gz doesn't seem to be suicidal is encouraging. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

-
You really misunderstand the GZ
No. I think I get it just fine.
If we were "at the bar" the impression I got from tonight's gz is that we just got beat tonight. That happens. My use of the word suicidal is obvious hyperbole. While dickstepping accompanies every loss of any baseball game (i.e. someone has to eventually step on a dick) it simply seemed to me that the Indians beat the Astros tonight. Nobody shit the bed but instead the team woke up the next morning with a few skid marks on the sheets.

If you got it, you'd understand that just because someone criticizes an at bat or a pitch doesn't mean they've given up on the season and are ready to throw in the towel. This seems to escape you.
-

10 is definitely a nice number but I don’t think it makes them a juggernaut.

Just calm down. The season is not over. Lots of baseball left.
