Their Love Street is/was good too. Since they're now Budweiser, a lot of people have stopped drinking it.

If there is a quintessential Keuchel AB, that Gregorius AB was it: weak swings at nothing closely resembling a strike.

I am too. My nickname for him alternated between "Big Bear" and "Gentle Bear."

Now that he's no longer an Astro, I call him "Chris Carter," and try to stifle my sobs.

Might have been. Strike two was the pitch he could have hammered. He just watched it all the way into the glove. The only thing separating him from Moberg was Yuli's impassive face versus a knowing nod.

I do loathe the late trend to serve everything either in a to-go cup or in a cup so wide-mouthed your latte is room-temperature after two sips. Better for art I guess but shite for drinking.

My dad ran a truck stop, long ago and far away in West Texas.  He had these great mugs, Buffalo china, army surplus, tiny.  I still have two, and I drink my morning coffee from them every day.  They are about three times the size of espresso.  Perfect, as long as they get refilled.

That truck stop had a great juke box.

I remember a time when Erstad gunned a tagging runner to end the game at home plate in maybe    08. Anyone remember another outfield assist to end the game against a runner at home to secure the win?

I offer no specifics at all, but I think we had a double play F8-2 to end a game in the last couple years.

Giles is making me nervous.
I really hate the fact that he makes everyone nervous just about every time he pitches. It gets really old.

Jake saved the day though, go Stros go!

Also, tip of the cap to Hinch for the defensive replacement in the OF from Aoki to Marisnick. He does this quite a bit and tonight it payed off. Aoki may or may not have made that play, but Jake is definitely the better defender.

Not only that,  but knowing the large LF in Yankee stadium, he left Jake in left rather than center.

Not only that, he had Jake playing in a bit for that last AB.

Hinch came up with that just a few days ago. He calls it "playing in", have you ever heard of it? Great idea.

Sounds like he was priming the pump for an outfield assist.

Correa and Jake did that. Had to send Ellsbury. He had a 30' lead and ran on contact.

Just saw the replay.  What slop pitch did Giles throw?  Same pitch twice in a row.  86mph and no movement.  Terrible hanging slider?

Slider with no bite. He had great stuff last night, but he hung that one.
