Shiner Homespun Cream Ale. On this GORGEOUS day!
I wish they would go back to brewing beer. All this fufu stuff is getting old. If anyone has been spared the Strawberry Blonde, consider yourself lucky.

What's wrong with the cream ale?
-
Keuchel having to work a lot harder this inning.
Nibbling with a 4 run lead.
-
Nibbling with a 4 run lead.
I can understand being careful with Davis, but the nibbling with the other guys was puzzling.
-
Keuchel out with two out in the 8th...Gregerson in
-
I can understand being careful with Davis, but the nibbling with the other guys was puzzling.
Even then, you got a four run lead. Make him hit his way on.
-
I can understand being careful with Davis
Not with a 4 run lead and nobody on
-
What's wrong with the cream ale?
Reports I hear are sweet and frufru. On the back of a few other regrettably sweet and un-beer like offerings, I have stayed away.
The Golden Ale is very nice, though.
-

Right. Worst case it is suddenly 4-1.

I don't think it's sweet at all. In fact, it's less sweet than their normal beers...it is an ale after all. Of course, it's not like drinking quinine, which seems to be the rage these days.

Sure
-
That kid on the hill for the Athletics can bring it.
-
Man, Marwin hit that ball hard. Too bad it was foul.
-
And he hit that one even harder!
-
Marwin!!!
Off the Fowl Pole!

That kid on the hill for the Athletics can bring it.

But the Astros tack on...lead 7-1 headed to the 9th
-

I don't do "quinine" and I do like a nice Belgian dubbel or trippel, so maybe the reports I get on this one are leading me astray. Or maybe I am growing sceptical of their novelty offerings.

I don't know, I like it.
-
Man, what a descent into sloppiness. Let's put this one out of its misery, guys.
-
Getting a little sloppy in the 9th...7-2...two on, two out...
-
And all of the sudden the bases are loaded and it's a save situation for Giles coming in

-
Holy shit, the Nats scored 23 runs against the Mets today.
-
Holy shit, the Nats scored 23 runs against the Mets today.
Damn. That's a week's worth of runs for most teams.
-
I believe they scored more runs this series than the Royals have this month.
-
Last year's April vs this year's April is insane.
This next series feels like a big one to me.

Take away the head to head games last year, and the Astros and Rangers had the exact same record against the rest of the league. How well they play against the Rangers is HUGE...or YUGE even.

Exactly. I still think the al west is going to come down to Astros vs rangers. Though I'd love if Arlington would hurry themselves early

Ah. I totally missed what (apparently didn't actually) happened as did everyone sitting around me.
